I met one too back in University, her name Ada, younger brother, Ogbonna. Yet she tells me confidently that she ain't Igbo. I simply used to laff at her. Whenever she spoke with people from home in her "dialect cum language", I did tell her what her conversation was about, and all that she said, and she would be like, "but how did u know that?", then i will be like, "all that u spoke there was Igbo, only dialectal difference, just as i would never sound like an Igbo man from Mbaise in Imo state, even though i am from Abia. But I can tell tell to a great extent, what he says in his dialect". Even with this explanations, she never still gave in that it was Igbo she was speaking, nor the fact the she's truly Igbo.. I am a Linguist, and Linguistics makes me understand that, 'You are what you Speak '
