WAVE 6 DLC TRAILER REACTION! | Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass 

As someone who has never played Piranha Plant Pipeline I am extremely disappointed it didn't make the cut. Still a massive W wave either way 🔥🔥🔥

Rest in rip piranha plant pipeline and Dino Dino jungle. I’m happy that I was eventually right with my Rosalina’s ice world prediction though. I think this might rival wave 4 in terms of track quality. Not to mention finally every course looks like it fits in with base game graphics

ROSALINA'S ICE WORLD DIDN'T REPLACE PIPELINE, DAISY CIRCUIT DID, AND HERE IS WHY: The general story I theorize might be true is that Pipeline was intended to make it in, they probably even added it in, finished it (functionally) but then thought: Dang, this plays like a** in 8DX... So they needed to get a more simple course, that wouldn't upset the entire community that would also fit and that they could easily finish quickly within their time schedule: Daisy Circuit. The fact Daisy Circuit could potentially be rushed is kinda noticable in the footage we have, bushes aren't textured again, the grass in some areas (at the starting line) is waaayyy too large compared to other areas, areas like the town are very outdatedly textured (notice the windows). Yet meanwhile, areas that ARE textured and finished, are fully up there with the rest of the Wave, the lighthouse, the statues, overall shading, etc. Rosalina's Ice World is the complete opposite, being (in my opinion) one of the prettiest Mario Kart tracks to date (as far as we've seen). This could also possibly explain why they teased Daisy Circuit in the Direct of all things: this wasn't supposed go be a circuit anyways. What do y'all think?

For the jukebox,they should have a screen pop up where you can select which music you want to play if a track has more than one theme,like say you could choose between the regular moonview highway music and the moonview highway city music

At first I was mad that Nintendo added two tracks to Wii instead of giving that spot to a game that needed it, but they added Rosalina’s Ice World so I’m good now

So hyped up for wave 6! I’m so excited for Wii Rainbow Road and 3DS Rosalina’s Ice World! The city tracks do also look fantastic, and as a city track lover, I also cannot wait to race on them! As for the characters, I can’t wait to be racing with all of them, especially Funky Kong and Peachette (yes I know, I’m hyped up for Peachette)!

List of currently confirmed Mii Suits: 1. Daisy 2. Toadette 3. Chain Chomp 4. Dolphin 5. Dry Bowser 6. Cheep Cheep 7. Pokey 8. Para-Biddybud 9. Birdo 10. Petey Piranha 11. Question Mark Block 12. Castle So there's 5 more that aren't confirmed yet! Waluigi is almost certain, so the 4 other ones I'd want are King Boo, Spike, Roaring Racer, and Koopa Clown Mii Suits. I would've said the Rocky Wrench suit, but they changed the design of the Rocky Wrenches on Rome Avanti, so it's pretty much deconfirmed.

To think it took us to the final wave to get a Bowser's Castle stage. Though I'm liking what I'm seeing~

Thing to note with the Mii Racing Suits - 17 of them are going to be available as part of the Booster Course Pass, but we also get 1 new Mii Racing Suit that requires an amiibo... and that is the *Daisy Mii Racing Suit* . If you have the Daisy amiibo from Super Mario Bros. or Super Smash Bros Ultimate, you'll be able to unlock it. It is listed as one of the new additions to the game. The Mii Racing Suits are all from Mario Kart Tour... but the problem is that we don't know all of the Mii Racing Suits coming as part of Wave 6 since there's actually more than 17 unique Mii Racing Suits in Mario Kart Tour. The Character Select Menu has also been modified as seen in screenshots. Inkling Boy got merged with Inkling Girl and Girl Villager is finally merged back with Boy Villager, just like how it was in the original Mario Kart 8 DLC. The Mii slot got moved to the final slot of the new column where Birdo and that are, and the icon got updated to no longer show the amiibo so that you won't be confused with which ones are amiibo unlockable and which ones are Booster Course Pass unlockable. Diddy Kong, Funky Kong and Pauline are placed between Link and Mii on the final row and Peachette is between Kamek and Mii on the Birdo column. I am honestly not surprised that Piranha Plant Pipeline got cut. It would've been a LOT more awkward to do the halfpipes with Mario Kart 8's engine. But hey, Mario Kart Tour now has something in common with Mario Kart 64 - one nitro never becomes a retro. Probably next time in... 2026 or so since the tradition of Bowser Castle appearing before Rainbow Road is still alive. The courses look AMAZING in Wave 6. I am actually pretty darn happy to see 3DS Rosalina's Ice World killing Pipeline. I honestly don't like Pipeline... it is too similar to Slide/Pipeway and would be totally awkward to have 2 courses with the same name in the same wave - so it was going to be stabbed so hard in the back that it would end up being dead regardless. Pipe Tour (2023) was pretty darn random when you think about it... especially when a few of the unlocks are clearly Wild Western theme. I think 3DS Rosalina's Ice World was indeed the best pick they would've chosen for Wave 6. True, it does mean that Wave 6 has replaced two courses... but these two courses had plenty of reasons to be replaced. The music with all of these courses in Wave 6 are SOLID! SNES Bowser Castle 3 has totally unleashed a bit of the rock out of me.

It’s ok guys, what I think Mario Kart Devs are doing is that, they wanna keep the trend on doing Tour retros, so they are maybe keeping Piranha Plant Pipeline for Mario Kart 10

Ok, so if we looked at the data mine leak, after wave 5, we were to expect two GCN tracks and Two Nitro's, now seeing this trailer, just makes me now think that, one of the GCN tracks, and one of the Nitro tracks (Piranha plant if I had to guess) Were swapped out for Wii daisy circuit and 3ds Rosalina's ice world during the process.

Honestly, when I first found out, I was actually shocked, because all, except one, appeared in the final wave. I also was baffled that DK Mountain was 2nd and Daisy Circuit 3rd. Rosalina’s Ice World May as well have been the biggest curveball that Nintendo pulled off, sorry to fans of Piranha Plant Pipeline (Or Warp Pipe Canyon, as that name fits the course better), but I guess that means that it’ll have to be in the following game if we ever get any more information. Overall though, I am surprisingly satisfied with how it’s turning out.

Yes this is very exciting. But I'm more excited to receive my preorder of the re-released mario Kart 8 deluxe + booster course pass physical edition. Probably because I prefer my games physical. But it's cool that it contains the base game and wavesc1-5 on the cart also. It just sucks that nintendo didn't wait till wave 6 got released before they made this new physical version. But I'm still excited about it. A bunch of the courses I haven't tried yet.

As someone who would've been pleased with DDJ or DKM, I don't think the discussion of which GCN Jungle track would make it in was stupid at all because both tracks were good contenders for the slot in my opinion.

I'd take Piranha Plant Pipeline over Rosalina's Ice World, which was a rather underwhelming track back in MK7, but the excitement of getting Daosy Circuit and Wii Rainbow Road widely outweighs that tiny complaint

All are flipping out for Wii Rainbow Road… but I here was hoping and waiting for the DS one. I can‘t believe it is STILL not in 8 man. It‘s loopings and such where MADE for Anti-Gravity.

I’m honestly fine with Piranha Plant Pipeline not being added even if it is a little odd. I don’t really like the track that much. I also would have preferred Wario Shipyard over Rosalina’s Ice World.

I was right about Mushroom Bridge and you Mushroom Bridge fans, you were wrong at the end. Anyways, I'm so happy that GCN DK Mountain got confirmed in Wave 6 over Dino Dino Jungle as that track is pretty mid. Ryder, I hope you enjoy having fun playing Wii Rainbow Road when it comes out in November 9th.
