I was wondering, would it be possible to actually add new flat rides to OpenRCT2, similarly to how new track pieces were added for certain coaster types? I came to RCT Classic this year after having played RCT3 in my childhood and it's striking how 1 and 2 have so many omissions when it comes to flat rides, still haven't switched to OpenRCT2 because I just like the more modern UI from Classic better 😝

It’s definitely possible but seems more complicated from what I understand. I think there is more focus at the moment to expanding track elements and adding new track types. But I agree, the game always has lacked flat rides and appropriately sized ones as well!

@@openRCT2tutorials I see. There are a few custom flat rides available for download in certain sites (including a very simple Swing made a long time ago) but they pretty much universally clash with RCT's art style unfortunately. Your rides certainly look and fit much better with the game, I definitely wish OpenRCT2 added some of your creations (maybe with some input from the community and devs) so it was as simple as clicking and picking a place in the park.

Yeah, there’s a real need for new ones that fit the game style. For now, I do my best to make as many of my designs saveable tracks that can be easily added to parks with minimal effort. I’m sure one day we will get some new ones!
