Finally something for kontakt users,Guys how about a tut on creating templates & making an orchestral mockup using kontakt, and also sound to movies, does waveform have a video track for syncing sound and foley, I really like the look of the app, very modern
I just found your video and it is super useful. Is it possible to add new elements to an already saved preset? I have loaded it into a new project and realized that I want to use a crash and a tom, too. I have added them in the rack as new inputs, activated the extra channel output in my drum plugin but the new tracks remain silent no matter how I try.
i have my multi output in kontakt set to 10 channels but i have 64 blue dots on the side of the kontakt thing in the middle of the rack and everything isnt working
I'm trying to do this also. Have two plugins that support multiple channels of MIDI: Instacomposer and Real Tracks (Band in a Box). Both create multiple instrument tracks and need something to convert MIDI from each track into audio. So far I see no way to do this in Waveform. Someone in a forum suggested using Waveform's Patch Bay plugin on each output track to filter out all but the single channel that track is looking for, but I can't get Patch Bay to do anything but connect multiple left & right input channels to a single set of left & right output channels. No options in Patch Bay for selecting all or one MIDI channel, I really think it only works with audio connections. No documentation, of course. I don't understand how Tracktion can create this software and then never explain how it works!
@@davethorson3739 I agree - the multichannel MIDI implementation is not intuitive at all. You can send Midi from Track 1 to Track 2 using the input on the left side of the track - no problem. But, you can't send midi out to more than one track. I don't understand the need for the limit. I try these racks and I get frustrated. I think the Patch Bay is the way - but there's really no support to show you how to use it as far as I can tell. This is all there is in the manual: "Allows mapping from one MIDI channel to another. Any of the 16 channels can be remapped to any other channel. In addition you can selectively block channels from passing any MIDI data through the plugin" Did you happen to figure it out?
@@swartzta I don't remember right now... been unable to do much with music for several months due to other demands. And, I had an issue with Waveform not properly starting ASIO4ALL, and the fix was to reinstall. Of course that made all my projects disappear. After a few weeks and lots of suggestions from the forum I think I know how to get them back, but haven't had time to do all the work. I'll look for my work with Patch Bay and Racks, will let you know if there's anything to help in all that.
