Waverley’s new port boiler arrived in Greenock on 2nd April 2020. It was then lowered into the hull and positioned adjacent to the new starboard boiler which had arrived 2 days before.
With both boilers in position on the hull the mammoth task of reconstructing the boiler room and the various connecting pipe work could begin. After the structure of the boiler room was back in place Waverley’s funnels were returned to their exact positions.
