Truly beautiful area David but if Waverley succumbs to financial problems (and after two successive summers without sailings, she well might) the only way to see it will be to buy your own boat. Hope you've got a substantial bank balance!

Hope you get the chance Alan - but - - she didn't sail at all last year (new boilers needed) - - and hasn't sailed this year because of the pandemic. Like all preservation groups, she must be facing appalling financial problems - can she survive?

A year ago I would have replied "yes" but now I'm not so sure. Lots of things are going to change, some already have, like the closure of the Lake District's two biggest hotels!
