Yep! If it’s crunchy then you did it right, the mousse and gel are doing their job, helping the wave/curl hold it’s shape… use a little hair oil and smooth it over the hair, it will break down that sticky crunchy texture but leave the hold
@@jamiebrown4580 I meant moose 💀, so I’ve done a few hair methods myself that include the products in the video but I’m no professional. I’ve been told to scrunch the crunch, And for the most part it’s worked
it’s normal for it to feel like straw! what you have to do is wait until it’s COMPLETELY dry and then ‘scrunch out the crunch’ until it’s all soft and the curls will be set
@@scarletsjazz6472 thank you so much because I have naturally curly hair and it was always crunchy after using gel and I didn’t know how to get rid of it❤️
@@AlainaO7 when I first started wearing my hair naturally it confused me as well, but trust me scrunching will fix that! you can do other things too like smoothing the hair between your palms or shaking it from the roots
just scrunch your hair out it’s called “scrunch out the crunch” you can do so with your hands or with some oil too. you did add a lot of mousse but most of the time mousse and gel will create a cast (aka the straw feeling) and the cast is usually good bc ot helps the curls maintain their shape
Your hair is looking pretty good as far as definition, Don't give up Katie listen to the curly heads in the comments and try again, it took me a couple years to perfect my kinky / curly hair routine.
if your hair is feeling crunchy after diffusing, you should try to scrunch it out with a little bit of hair oil to get rid of that gel cast. (also use a little less mousse!!) hope this helps💞
That gel can make your hair a little bit hard so after your hair dries, I would recommend scrunching your hair and that should fix your problem❤ just like in the second video you made where you scrunched it you don’t need the oil. All you need is to scrunch your hair after it dries.❤
oh haha! u just made a gel caste. What u got to do next is scrunch it out. u can do so with the ur hands, personally I like to add a drop or two of oil for extra shine but that's just personal preference!
A lot of these “WAIT SO I THINK I MIGHT HAVE WAVY/CURLY HAIR YOU GUYS” girls usually FORCE their hair to make curls by scrunching the crap out of it and within minutes they fall back to straight hair. But yours looks beautiful and natural! It’s allllll about the products
Where you went wrong was slathering that much mousse in your hair 😊 you also don't need gel and mousse combined imo but if you do less is always more when adding products! Also something to remember you don't want your hair over saturated with product or it will weigh it down. It's a learning process to figure out how much works best for your hair type. You definitely don't wanna hear the scrunch lol start with less and you can always build up more if it doesn't feel fully covered
What are those products?? I have tried to enhance my natural hair but it always feels stiff. I saw your other video where it worked and im so excited to try it! I have the same hair you do(curly/wavy).
here are the correct steps 😊 1. use a nickel sized amount of the curl crème on each side 2. use only a little bit of mouse (i can’t spell) on each side 3. use again, a nickel sized about of gel on each side 4. diffuse, then scrunch out the crunch feeling with some hair oil
I think you should do a little less mess and it’ll maybe make it a little bit smoother. Also, you need to get some sort of hair oil to put in after you do the diffuser.❤❤❤😊
I have curly/wavy hair and it took me a while to find a good routine that worked, but I would say probably put less mousse and put it on your roots, then put your hair up to let it dry to give it volume, and then add a little water after the gel, not enough to wash it out, but it’ll help it soak in and the scrunch it out :)
I have that gel and it leaves a cast on your hair, I recommend doing it at night and sleeping with your hair up in a MESSSY MESSSSY bun with a telephone cord ponytail. Take it out the next morning and shake out the roots! Perfect! I love your videos btw!
You should either use gel or mousse. They both provide hold. You need to make sure your curl cream/conditioner are evenly distributed along your hair. Afterwards you want to glaze your mousse or gel over your hair to provide a cast and the scrunch to encourage the curl pattern. Then you want gently flip your hair upside down and hover your diffuser over your roots, mids, and ends until you can feel a cast being formed. Then you can start putting your hair in the diffuser bowl and that will provide more volume. If your hair feels crunchy after you dried it you a hair oil and scrunch it out and that will create more volume. Hope that helps!!!😊
You can scrunch it to help, I def recommend scrunching it out with some hair oil not too much tho lol maybe try shaking it a bit too, hope this helped :)
From someone with really wavy hair you should do way less mouse because it makes it crunchy and I would just do a little gel and when it’s dry use an oil and scrunch out the gel cast with the oil
Get rid of the mousse and just use the gel and curl cream. Don’t put that much product in ur hair and when you diffuse try your hair in sections starting from the bottom. After you finish diffusing flip your head over and diffuse for 5 mins. This adds volume and helps define more
Bro I feel your hair got damage and not the same as it was before it was thicker you should use some products to make your hair, thicker and healthier ❤love u ☺️
I have curly hair and here’s how I do it. 1. Wet hair 2. Dry hair to the point it’s not dripping 3. Brush hair 4. Part hair down the middle 5. Use one dollop of tresema curl moose on each side 6. Scrunch 7. Let dry 8. Scrunch again
If your hair curls when just being wet you have curly hair, but if you have to put product in it to see the curls you probably have straight to slight wavy hair!
The curls look great and the tip I would say is get a hair oil and scrunch with that after it dries like when you showed in the end of the video but I love your vids and have been following forever
You didn’t go wrong. The reason it feels like straw is because the moose dried so you have to scrunch your hair like you were earlier in the video to make it feel normal hope this helps❤
You added a little to much of the muse I have very curly hair and I use the same product here is so tips , first thing that I do is I put in a little bit of the muse and then the curly cream then the gel , and it’s ok to if your hair is a little bit dry , then I dry it I would also suggest that you get a comb that is for curly or wavy hair , hope this helps
I have a similar wave pattern. I have found that just using mousse is enough for me. (I use The Doux). Too much layering of product weighs down a looser wave pattern. I do get a slight cast and then scrunch it out the next morning with hair oil or after fully drying during the day. Easy peasy.
If anyone try’s diffusing it without letting it cast, I recommend you, try it. My wave were just having a hard time waving after I diffused it, like she did. Ofc if this works for you keep on it but for people with very light and sensitive wavy/curls letting it cast just made my curls LIVE!
So a mousse is like a lightweight gel, so when you put a lot it makes your hair crunchy! I would also recommend putting a leave in conditioner as the last product you use!!! I also wait a little bit before i put my products in.. when it is not soaking wet!
It’s a really good thing it’s feel and looks that way, this is called a crunch! To help get that crunch out simply just take any hair oil and scrunch your hair then it’ll nice soft waves/curls
Crack the Cast. You need to scrunch again, in order for your curls/waves to be soft. I like to put a tiny bit of slip in my hands when doing this to prevent frizz. I prefer oil over silicone.
I think after it feels like that you scrunch it with oil for shine and it break the cast! Btw it looks amazing and your dog is so cute! I love your videos !! ♥️♥️
If you had some hair oil and scrunch it in to your hair it will give the same affect but feel softer and more like your natural hair. My curly/wavy hair does the same and i will never go back to not using hair oil after gel and mousse! YOU NEED TO TRY!
You gotta scrunch to get rid of the crunch. The gel and mousse will make a cast to form the curl, once it dries you should run your fingers through it and scrunch again to break up the cast
