This has been the most helpful tutorial I have ever watch in my life!! seriously! from your soft voice over to the ever detail and how you walked us through all the steps was FLAWLESS! Thank you!
This tutorial is absolutely fabulous! Thank you so much. Just a quick question - if I wanted the top line to be straight like the bottom line do you know how I can do that please?
Thank you for this easy to follow video!! I can't wait to watch your others. Just one question...when you use the wave tool...how do you get your text to be even on both sides? Like in the wave you did that says "Santa".
OMG, thank you so much for this very understandable video!!! I have wanted to make this type of lettering, but people have said I need to use Inkscape and that is just too confusing for me. Keep up the great (and simple) videos :)
I'm trying to bring over text from Canva but I want to keep the bottom and top straight and just wave in between. However, the wave box is bigger than my text and I can't figure out how to shrink my wave box to just fit around the text. Please help!
It's called Retro Groovy. There is a link to it in the video description but I'll put it here too. www.creativefabrica.com/product/retro-groovy/ref/235589/
Is there a way to make the words at the top and bottom straight across yet still wavy? Like as if you had a square paper and had to fit it perfectly in the box
Hi. I was wondering how you make the top and bottom words straight at the bottom of last word and top of first word. I was waiting to see that part in the video.
I have watched tons of instructional videos on a billion topics, but this was probably one of the most helpful videos I have watched in a while. Thank you!
I'm having problems with after I export as SVG and vectorize text, the save box is empty which you mentioned but when I open in design space there is no image...what am I doing wrong. If I double click the .svg file on its own it's blank as well.
Thank you so so so much! I just had problems with saving it as an svg and as a pdf it never looked good in the Design Space. It’s a game changer für my business, really ❤
This was such a great video. Thank you! Any idea why I can't open up in silhouette design space? The file is saved but it's not popping up on my screen.
Hi! I’ve been seeing this trend along with only one word having color and being filled in, the rest of the words are hollow outlines. How would we do that ?? Thanks!!
Most newer computers will unzip the file for you if you just double click into it and then you can pull out the individual font file. If your computer does not allow you to do that you can download a program to unzip the file. One of the most common and trusted programs is 7-Zip.
What a wonderful tutorial! Thank you so much for taking the time to share. I do have a question, though. How do you make the letters straight at the top as well as the bottom of the paragraph when using the wave effect?
How did you get the “HOLLY JOLLY BABE” wavy but still in the shape of a square. I’m struggling to keep the top, bottom, and sides a square but still wavy.
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I always wanted to make my own SVGs. I didn't know how easy and FREE it could be. I truly appreciate it, thank you!
I absolutely love your tutorials! I have been learning so much from them. You are spot on with everything you teach. Keep up the great work. Can’t wait to see more. Thank you.
Awesome tutorial!!! So easy to follow. I’ve literally been making text edits so difficult on myself. This is going to make my life so much easier. Going to subscribe now!
just found this video!!! thank you!!! I followed all the steps but got stuck on the loading of my own fonts. It will not let me load, it stays on "loading". I was wondering if it's because I am using an iMac? any suggestions? TIA
Hmm, I'm really not sure. I don't think I've ever had that happen. It probably has to do with the font you're trying to upload. Maybe try a different font.
@crystalscrafties THANK YOU!! this was so clear and easy! question- if i want the words to be even with one another on the sides (like in a square shape), how do I do that?!
Thank you so much for this video! I was able to follow along until I tried to open my download and then it opened in Inkscape. I’m on a MacBook so not sure if that has anything to do with it?
Question to ask, why you save your file as SPG rather than PNG? Any reason? I have not opened store yet but still learning then i will get started to open one.
Exactly what I was looking for…the import into design space as my previous attempts showed a black rectangle when importing but vectorizing was the key. Thank you!!!!
Excellent tutorial! Thank you! Is there a way to upload an image from a saved file folder? If so, is it also a free feature? I’d love to see more tutorials for Photopea!
Thank you so much for this video. It was so easy to follow and your instructions were perfect. The only thing you should add is the instructions for lessening the amount of the wave.
Very helpful! One question I have is what if I want each word the same size? So it was stacked on top of eachother. So “CUPID’S FAVORITE CHEERLEADER” All the same legnth. Hope this makes sense :) any help would be great
I’m totally subscribing 😮 wow best video I’ve ever seen and so detailed. Everything I was questioning you answered especially about the fonts. I’m wondering though, can you create a shadow or a line around the letters at all in this program? Thank you for showing us how to do this!!
You can but it's easier to do it in a different program like Canva and then import the design and wave it from there. I have another video that show you how to do that. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YB-NSp1P1To.html
Thank you very much! This was very helpful. I was trying to save some svg text with just the stroke of the text but it didn´t work. I did it as PNg and it work great. Wondering if you know any tricks to save svg just using text just with the stroke. And thanks again for sharing this!
I get that question a lot. I'll make an updated video showing how to do that but it can't be done in just photopea. You have to first create the design in a different program and then import it into photopea.
WOW!!! What a great tutorial I had just finished a tutorial minutes before I found yours She really didn't explain stuff it was pretty fast i do have questions I'm trying to do the chunky text in the wavy style do I do that in design soace because if I work with what I have it is not going to look good on a tshirts it's like half of a page
If you create the design in Design Space you won't be able to save a PNG version of it. You can create in Canva (for free) and then download the PNG version of what you created and upload that into photopea. Once you get it uploaded you can warp it the same way I showed in the video.
Hello, I really like that font you used, how can I get that font into the photo pea site? I'm searching through the fonts but its not coming up for me?
Im so glad I came across your channel . Thanks so much for this video i been looking for easier ways to do this.. Thank so much much. Im a new subscriber to your channel...I see so many helpful tips..
I found this on Pinterest and I must say I'm not tech savvy, but your video was amazing and I actually followed every single step and it worked. Thank you!! One of the best tutorials that I have come across. You Rock!!!
I had been waiting for someone to explain how to make this kind of wavy design forever... this is a great video and it does work, however, I don't think it works for every platform. I use Cricut Design Space and when I try to upload an SVG from photopea, it never works. But if I save the file as a PNG and then upload it, it works like a charm every time. The only downside to this is if you are creating designs to sell, some people NEED the SVG file for their software and cannot use the PNG. So if you are using this website for making files to sell, double-check that they work with the software you're advertising it to work with!!!
Hi Kkyla! Thanks for your comment! Did you watch all the way to the end of the video? I show how to save the file and upload it into design space. You have to make sure that your text is vectorized before you save the SVG or programs like Cricut and Silhouette won't be able to read the file. The video shows you what to do and how to import them.
The easiest instructions EVER! I finally found a video that actually showed me how to do it and it is FREE! Thank you so much. I share the link of one of my FB groups!!
thank you so much!!! this is gonna be so much fun to work with !!! its so easy to work with as well !! But i do have a question if its not different colors will it let you change the color of it in DS ? or do you have to do the coloring on PhotoPea?
Is there a way to warp multiple layers together? I “free transformed” one word to be the same width of a longer word but want to warp them as one phrase. Any ideas?
Not that I'm aware of. They all have to be the same layer. You could create the design in a different program (like Canva) and save it as a PNG with a transparant background and then import it to photopea and then it will all be one layer and will warp how you're wanting.
Hi and thank you for this tutorial! It was great. I do have a question tho...in your video thumbnail, or I also received an email about this video you sent, your images have a flat top and bottom. Meaning your wave was a wave like you show in the video, but how do you get it to have a wave but both the top and bottom are square? Thanks so much!
Thank you do much! this is a game changer for sure! thank you for your great tutorial. Quick question: what size do you suggest saving the svg as? thank you once again!
Thank you so much Crystal. I have been waiting for someone to explain this method for months!!! I didn't even know what to call it and I didn't want to have to learn another system like Adobe Photo Shop or Illustrator, but I wasn't successful.
I just needed to learn this for a project, and as soon as your name popped up in my search I knew I had found a quick and easy tutorial. You are awesome!!
OMG. Ok you have just get a new subscriber. Your instructions was SOOO easy to understand . I am very new to this crafting world and is learning a lot. Thank you 🙏🏽
Love your work Crystal. Am complete novice. Am looking at doing a few homemade tee shirts. Your Bending the text vid was great, very straightforward . thank you
