I really hope things worked out for you. But that wasn't the message of the song. Unfortunately a single achiever breeds a billion believers with big dreams and even bigger messes when those dreams fall apart. We can't all be heroes, but we should learn to be appreciative of the abilities that make us heroes to the people that we care about.

It's very interesting to come back to this song 8 years after it came out. Wax is a lot happier and acknowledging of his talent in the newer songs. I like how we have accompanied him through his music through his progression as a person and an artist. And he has accompanied us as well. My life's soundtrack cannot be established without multiple Wax songs. Like this one.

I love this song but damn, this music video is immaculate. The second verse shows Wax fidgeting his hands and then pulling out a cig and smoking and then the basketball player dressed up has light rays and sunlight when he feels like he's ballin and as it goes on and he gets more weary the light fades and the surroundings become more drab. Very impressive.

I love how well the personal stories of each of the people are portrayed musically. Starting out with a groovy beat talking about the big dreams and the hope they have for their future. Then it adds on with fallback after fallback, piling it on more and more, nonstop, until it bursts out of frustration into the chorus... "Stop fuckin with me!"
