Replayed it recently and yeah I'm having fun with it too. The game can definitely be classified as a No Man's Sky moment. Still buggy at times but a lot of the AI has been reworked and features added after release.
It's still pretty meh and frankly the update isn't comparable to No Man's Sky's overhaul in the last. NMS has added pet mechanics, freighter overhaul, new ships, new frigates, ground combat overhaul, space combat overhaul, enemy ai overhaul, enhanced environments, robot companions and more. And Hello Gamese is STILL rolling out new content. CDPR isn't even close to matching that level of support for cyberpunk 2077.
@@unigon794 The game definitely has a lot of potential now, This show saved cyberpunk. The mods are only gonna keep getting better, The game will basically be a completely different one in a couple years
The sub is great quality along with the dub, but I dunno there's something that hits harder with all the different inflictions, accents, and languages and clearer usage of slang that're in the latter. Makes it feel more like a Californian city that's a mix of all sorts of people and walks of life.
Without a doubt! Sub doesn't translate the lingo good at all or carry on the accents the characters are supposed to have. This is one of the few shows where watching sub actually downgrades the experience you get watching it.
The "game" David was playing is called a "Brain Dance". To make it simple, he's essentially reliving someone's memories BUT its like HE is the one living in the moment. He can feel all the emotion, the pain, the adrenaline, all the feelings that the person was experiencing during the moment as if he lived them. Not all BDs are the same tho, that particular one was essentially a snuff film, and those have some of the safeties like pain limiters and what not turned off.
@@gizmeme9831 I didn’t say you were wrong I just said that he’s Brazilian when I say Hispanic I mean more Mexican because the word mijo is used by his mom a couple times in the first ep
Aw YES, I'm so happy y'all are reactin' to this- it's so freakin' good! And my honest recommendation- the EN dub fits the atmosphere way better, since the lingo matches that of the game.
Guys, I recommend watching it with dubbing, for this anime they showed off with the voices in most languages, I speak Spanish, I saw it with the dubbing for LATAM and it was very good, and I prefer to see things in their original language so this surprised me
@@Reanimatedyt Shame. The English dub is the main focus for this one since it's moreso a western property with Japanese animation. That's like watching The Legend of Korra with Korean dub, except The Legend of Korra also takes place in Super LA.
I won’t lie, this anime makes me want to go back and have another playthrough for the game, especially now that it’s on a much better state than it was at launch (from a guy that played it not long after launch btw, so I know how sorry of a state it was in back then).
This probably one of the best anime this year, no cap. I mean, the music alone is great! Of course, I knew the music would be good since they used the games soundtrack.
This show is great im glad you guys are reacting to it but the dub for this show is amazing like Giancarlo Esposito or gus from breaking bad voices a character in it but sub is pretty nice too though
One of the few times I actually recommend the dub over the sub, not only for the commendable performances of the english actors, but also the subtitles on this make a lot of inexplicable little mistakes that add up after a while. Not sure why, maybe they were just rushed when they were translating them or something
I personally would recommend watching it in the english dub since there's a bunch of slangs that can only be delivered in english, and more connected to the game if you've played it before
You love to see it. I gotta say this is the only time I say the dub is way better than the sub. This is coming from someone why watched the entire show in the sub first, and then re-watched in dub later. The fact the had the video game's voice actors was reason enough for me to re-watch it in dub, but I didn't expect to actually prefer it this much over the sub. Not to knock the sub though, it's still great. Just good voice acting all around.
Night City is basically if the Bay Area around San Fran became an independent city state. Since in the 80s when Cyberpunk was starting, it made Detroit look like some pleasant new age suburbs like Naperville or Ann Arbor.
I love this show so much bruh, and its only 10 damn eps!!! I actually prefer this Netflix style anime over Arcane. Both r amazing, but this show came outta left field and made me feel shit ive never felt in a really long time😭😭❤❤! Love the reactions as always fam!
One of the few Anime I recommend watching dubbed. Since the language and slang was written with English in mind, it's a lot easier to comprehend. Oh also the subs were pretty bad when I first watched it.
This is also apparently based on the TTRPG. This other reactor I watch (Nozzivix) goes into detailed reviews and apparently the guys that wrote the anime would have had to have been big fans of the ttrpg to have some of the obscure stuff that they put in the show (like some of the cyberware and its functions).
People need to stop hating on the game. Even when it released it was still an amazing game with one of the best stories ive seen in a game. Although the bugs could be bad sometimes it doesnt take away how good the game is.
I liked cyberpunk on release I didn't really get many bugs that impeded the gameplay, but the game now is a different story it's better in a ton of aspects I'd give it a try again plus mods are always fun
Yeah bruh this anime is wild AF. I know y'all gonna be posting the sub version but mann whenever you get the chance please check some clips out on Dub. Like chat said it's wayyyy much better 👏👏 Cant wait to see yall reactions
Here’s the sub dub guide in a nutshell, the cyberpunk aesthetic has always been built off of neo Tokyo and Asian city’s. Just look at ghost in the shell and Neuromancer. Cyberpunk 2077 takes place in a proto LA city. If you plan to experience any of the rest of the cyberpunk aesthetic the dub will ruin your immersion in the world. If you only are gonna be sticking to cyberpunk 2077 then have at the dub. Most sub watchers I have found were just to lazy to turn on dub, don’t care, or are really core fans of the aesthetic who enjoy it based on the big names in it and the more immersion into 2077 night city
