I lived up there for 18 yrs. Totally awesome up there in the morning when the fog is in the valley. It is pronounced like Goya but with a w wayah. The locals will straighten you out quick. Great people up there. Great video.

I used to drive up there all the time. It is amazing. The drive is beautiful as well. I like going when it snows everything is so beautiful and white and untouched
I have been going to Franklin North Carolina to visit relatives for over 30 years. I’ve been to Gold City, the Cowee Valley, Ghost Town in the sky, Dry Falls -etc. but yet I never knew about this the whole time I visited relatives they never mentioned it. And I was just down in Franklin, August 2023. And now I just discovered your video. I’ll have to check it out next time I’m down there -over 5300 feet elevation. Pretty cool. Thanks for the video.
Most of my family lives there at Franklin N C , I would come from Georgia to see them , but now I don't know how I am going to get back there without a car😮 that's not good I have always been able to back up there I was just up there in 2022 in November to see my sister.
