I love listening to Waylon. He’s so honest and sincere when he speaks. I’ve always been fascinated with him and Elvis. There was something about those two that I just found extraordinary.

As I'm sure you can tell if you look at the videos I post on this channel, Waylon & Elvis are my two favorite artists, and in my opinion, they along with Cash had a level of charisma that has yet to be seen again. P.S. If you love listening to Waylon speak, THIS is a seriously interesting audio recording from 1973. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pdKMEYEexpY.htmlsi=Vp_UKBQMONOGFJ6r

Saw this when it first aired on TNN but all these years later it’s like finding buried treasure. Thanks for posting it here.

Very sad and delightful all at the same time.. glad to say I've lived through those times..I've stood behind a mic stand for 50 years and sung Waylon and Willie songs . Think I've have a few more gigs left in me

I’m surprised Waylon didn’t like that Wurlitzer prize. That’s one of my favorite Waylon songs

Just realized this is where Waylon said of the band we came up with the sound together. Always remembered it but not where I heard it.

He was then and I figure he still is even after all these years. He's one of those well rounded entertaining cats that we rarely see these days.

28:00 Interesting that Waylon says addiction is a disease way back in '84. It seems it's only recently that this has been a more widely accepted view.

Can tell he was as honest as a war nurse about asking him to, he knew it was rough and gripping Needed this.

Waylon was always a great entertainer and a true liar, but he got away with it actually. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. Waylon , Bobby Bare was also a great singer himself, ELIZABETH in SCOTLAND ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I asked Vasser Clements years ago if he learned much theory. He said with that big smile of his “not enough to mess me up.”

jazz musicians need theory. Country, you only need heart and a little bit of practice

many music icons had drug problems, I think Waylon had incredible stamina, that allowed him to survive all these years of abusing heavy substances, and yet keep on going in such a good shape. Makes me somewhat sad as well, but I guess that's the way it is
