I emigrated to Canada in January 1969, got a wee basement room ($9.00 a week) a AM/FM Radio and listened to CFGM Country station, Toronto. Brilliant Heard Waylon singing on the radio and became an instant fan. Saw some $00.99C LP records (this was one of them) and bought them ... I DIDN'T HAVE A RECORD PLAYER, but I wanted to possess Waylon's music. I also was lucky enough to buy a Hank Cochrane LP at the same time, same price .... Best Bargains I ever got folks. Waylon music will live on forever. Thank you for sharing your music and rekindling 1969 for me Roelles.
When I listen to this great music, I’m with my father again. He died two years ago and I miss him a lot. Listening to Waylon, Willie, Cash, and the gang, bring back so many beautiful memories with my father. ❤️🎶
I listen Waylon everyday sometimes all day long. After Ralph Mooney has to leave because of health issues his replacement couldn't hold a candle to Moone!!!
his early years and the later years are two different times same wonderful man and singer but the range of his voice changed as he got older, can't decide which I love better, so i just LOVE ALL OF IT. I had the pleasure of meeting him and Jessie.
I think any period with Waylon was/is a great period. With that being said I adore him after he grew his hair on and wore a Cowboy Hat! I fell in love with Waylon when I was 9 years old....now 73. RIP Waylon Jennings. ❤
It's true. I was just a kid but I remember when is hanging on album came out and my dad went out and bought that album because he loved Waylon. I was 12 years old and my dad used to play that record all the time and now I'm 66 years old and I still listen to it on RU-vid. I know the words to every song. There aren't many voices out there like his.
His voice didn't change much at all, he had one of those million dollar voices, and could play a guitar like no one u ever heard or will ever hear again
This album is shortly after he got started, he was the greatest country music artist to ever stand on a stage, Waylon had it all, voice, music talent he even had the attitude for it, they don't make em like Waylon anymore, RIP Hoss🎸
