Waylon had the most unique style voice of all times. He could sing any kind of music that no one else shall be able to sing.He was a true LEGEND. Loved Waylons voice so very much indeed. You are so sadly missed by all of us your true fans. Elizabeth❤❤❤❤❤ Scotland❤❤❤❤ xxxxxxx ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Meeeeee toooooo.... his career lasted 40÷years, that's real dedication in my book........ Waylon Jennings was one hell of a singer, guitar player, and a brilliant songwriter.....Waylon Jennings is #1 to me always will be too.... but what can I say 🤷 Waylon is my all time favorite artist/musician ever to live 😆 🤣 so 🤷
This live version is so much better than the album cut. I love it. And I'm hearing 87 of his songs today to celebrate his 87th birthday. Such a pleasure I have allowed myself!!
I totally agree Waylon is simply the greatest in my opinion....I'm always glad to read the comments and see there's a lot more of us Waylon fans out here than people know... He was just so different and unique..Waylon was so versatile I mean the man could rock n roll or play traditional country and anything else.. He will be missed I'm sure after I'm gone from this old world because my 4 yr old grandson already listens to Waylon with me and all 3 of my children love Waylon..my youngest daughter used to walk through the hall in highschool singing Waymores Blues...Other kids would ask What in the world do you sing all the time..she'd always reply if you don't know then you need to know because you're missing out...lol she's 23 now but still knows all the lyrics to most of his songs... I got dvds of Waylon concerts for my B-Day and fathers day.. Take care everyone
The best is gone, he could sing the dictionary and i would listen, the voice has more emotion than all the country music today. thanks for taping. love it
Waylon Jennings is the best. I used to listen to his music for hours in the 80s and now I’m doing again in 2018, 35 to 40 years later. I think his music is timeless. It applied to my life then and it applies to my life now. I have a boyfriend who is the love of my life and Waylons and Jessi’s love songs give me the chills. I love you Waylon and Jessi too.
I started listening to country about ten years ago and this era is what I heard first and will die with. The so called country now a days is bullshit. It’s all about drinking and hanging out in your pickup truck. This was real life storytelling said through a song. RIP Waylon, you had a stranglehold on country since the first time you stepped on a stage.
Yeah Waylon was one 1⃣ of the original outlaws , and a true living legend of Country music 🎶 , and now Country music 🎶 has lost another beloved performer and leader trying to keep Country music 🎶 as alive and well , as possible 🙆 which unfortunately moves newer singer songwriters up the leadership ladder , but I for one 1⃣ think newer stars like Chris Stapleton and Jamey Johnson are pretty much ready replace the stars ( Waylon Jennings , Willie Nelson and others) Who have passed recently , and the best we can hope for is that those who have videos of the classic singers and their music 🎶 will share them with new fans of Country music 🎶 so they're exposed to the best performers of the past , and their music 🎶 to go along with the best of the new and rising stars leading the latest revival in the popularity of Country music 🎶 , which I for one 1⃣ am more than happy to see , since I was born in the 50's and raised on the music 🎶 of Hank Williams Sr , and then Hank Jr , Waylon Jennings , Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash Ferlin Husky , and others, all of whom are no longer here , so we can hear and enjoy their classic songs 😊😅😮😢😂❤😂😊❤😊❤
@anitaericsson4581 can only agree, not sure about county music over past 30 years, somethin just not right, might be my age, Waylon is brilliant, though i gotta say his version of The Taker is a distant second when compared to the Marty Robbins effort.
To amazingly written and performed songs..,Waylon could sing them all and make you feel every word....no matter if he's rock n rolling or singing songs like these that require a whole different feel and approach Waylon was very diverse..
Waylons unique style voice was absolutely phenomenal to listen to and so sexy, gives you the goosebumps. No one shall ever have a great voice again like Waylon. You could see the NONSENSE in his face @ eyes. A true LEGEND and a beautiful singer who l loved very much indeed. Still love listening to Waylon every day or night, you never ever get tired of listening to Waylons voice, never. And to look at him pure GENIUS, and gentleman. Rip Waylon. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Never heard this song of Waylon's before. WOW.......Never heard a song so brutally honest about how some men treat women. Waylon went there...... Thank you Waylon - you were a down to earth yet brilliant man. I sure do miss him.
Sorry to write again but just listened to We Had It All. Oh what a beautiful one of a kind voice. His emotions show through at times I see the pain. Gorgeous song.
this song was out when i was a kid .liked it then and in my adult years i have a great love for this man's songs we don't have many of them left damn it
My daughter was born in 1978, Needless to say she grew on Waylon, wish I still had his vinyls 😥😥 # love you Waylon # never to be forgotten!!!! I also have a grandson that was born in 1999 and he's named after you 💞👍🥰
Years ago, I met Waylon after one of his concerts. To this day, I STILL remember was a cool guy he was. P.S. Waylon was also SUPER SEXY...needless to say, that’s what I remember the most!
GoFaster58 Maybe you can help me. I’m trying to find the building he recording the 76 live album in. Part was in Austin. Found it. But the Dallas show was at a place called the Western Palace or place. I can’t find anything about it. Would you know? What was Duke Goff like?
Waylon's the reason why I got introduced to Johnny Cash God Bless the two greatest country, rock, and Gospel. And much more as far as their musical abilities I hope to meet both in heaven with my Lord n savior
My wife and I have seen Waylon many times. Every time he would come to the NYC area we were there. Last time Tammy Wynette was the warm up person. Unforgettable show. We were so fortunate to get in. I regret not seeing Tom T. Hall and the Possum, George Jones live.
To "ONE" I LOVED & STILL LOVE TODAY.......MR> MARKessc...THESE @ SONGS SAY SOOO VERY MUCH......YOU & I BOTH KNOW & LOVE WAYLON...HE SAYS IT ALL...."YOU & I MARK, WE DID HAVE IT ALL" & YOUR STILL, "THE KING OF MY HEART"....AN YOU ALWAYS WILL BE!!! Ilove You MY MR. MARK. Waylon YOUR the ULTIMATE GREATEST!!!!
Reminds me of summers in the late 70s and early 80s. After cows and horses were taken care of come on and put Honkey Tonk Heroes in the Philco 8 track and crank it up. Still have that tape stashed, pure inspiration.
