Well here's an extra special treat for you! Both Paul & I go back many years with our dear friend Wayne Bergeron. He's a fellow member here and graciously agreed to share some of his thoughts with us. In this episode he let's us in on some fun stories, talks about what it takes to become an A-list studio musician and more. Wayne even brought us up to speed on mindset and how he's overcome his recent health concerns. He's truly amazing and a huge inspiration for all of us. Enjoy!

Wow! What an incredible insight to the world of professional trumpet playing at its highest levels . I also appreciate the honesty with Wayne's health challenges....I always knew he was a beast of a horn play, but so amazing to hear from the man and what he went through.

I just saw this and of course ran out and bought the Wick mute and did my usual Spider Web routine with the mute. Then took the mute out and wow! Open, clear, much less effort above the staff and ease of note onset everywhere. I will be incorporating this. (And I don’t work for Wick). Thank you!

Toronto quarter : could someone please elaborate ?

Sure, it's a sort of nickname for a really fat 1/4 note especially the last button of a song where most people play a hat accent and short note. A "Toronto" 1/4 is a shorrrrrrrrrt note. Check out Rob McConnell and The Boss Brass. That's where the saying came from.
