Wow I’m actually stunned. Never judge a book by its cover. I’ve always him down as a clown character. He’s come across as a genuine and humble fella who’s had a fascinating life.
This has to be the most honest and real genuine pod cast on RU-vid... I've met Wayne many times over the years. And he's a real normal humble guy... 💯 Real chap. Doesn't act for the socials or different for people. I've always got time for this fella
I think Wayne gets a bad rep from the press but it's live by the sword and die by the sword now and media is what drives successful businesses these days. He's a genuine hardworking guy simple as. Nothing but respect for him. Always got time for you.
Well that was interesting Rob ! Apart from knowing Wayne had a famous brother , which must be difficult in itself , and only ever reading of Wayne's wayward antics in the press I expected to see someone full of himself so I was very surprised watching this.He comes across as someone quite modest and through hard work and I am sure a bit of luck has been successful. He definitely got a raw deal with that prison sentence. It does seem to me that Wayne has more of an understanding of how real life is for most people that his brother has. Look forward to the next one Rob.
I’ve spent a bit of time with Wayne over the years in Ibiza, a few blurry eyed nights out after ocean and I can confirm this is him exactly. Great interview, wish he’d have said why he didn’t speak to Gary anymore though.
One of the best sessions I can remember was Linikers in Playa de Americas watching England v Scotland Euro 96. Woke up on the beach with an empty wallet and a sore head.
Cool video, My relationship of 5 years ended a month ago. The love of my life decided to leave me, I really love her so much I can’t stop thinking about her, I’ve tried my very best to get her back in my life, but to no avail, I’m frustrated, I don’t see my life with anyone else. I’ve done my best to get rid of the thoughts of her, but I can’t, I don’t know why I’m saying this here, I really miss her and just can’t stop thinking about her
its difficult to let go of someone you love, i was in a similar situation, my relationship of 12 years ended, but i couldnt just let her go i did all i could to get her back, i had to seek the help of a spiritual counselor who helped me bring her back
Most impressed with your vlog.I thought Wayne came across a totally different person to what I thought he was.I like the way he doesn’t judge people.Very good.👍
What a thoroughly nice guy Wayne is! I too had a completely different stance on him and I feel terrible for dismissing reading anything or looking into his life - Thanks Rob, reallly special podcast - i could listen to his voice all day - he should do a voice over on CALM! tweeted and thanks for liking x I LOVE THE FACT THAT HE SAID ‘Let it be’ and I relate entirely - don’t judge people for being different x
Gary got support from the public ??? Are you lot on a different planet ? Match of the day got 10% MORE viewers when he wasn’t presenting ! Believe me, Wayne has more public support than his lefty demented brother 👍
I’m not sure how he could have more support given the difference in status and notoriety, Wayne is a known person if you run in certain circles but Gary Lineker is a global name, the amount of people supporting Gary would still be exponentially more even if he at the same time receives more hate, that is pretty much evident from how the bbc folded and gave Gary his job back, they looked at the numbers and realised he’s simply to much of a valuable asset to lose, if that had been the majority of presenters they would have been sacked straight away, and that’s the leverage Gary has. And if what you’re saying about higher viewership is true its probably predominately down to how much of a high profile spat it was and people being interested in how the saga was going to play out drawing in a brief influx of viewers, I doubt it’s mainly down to people thinking great Gary’s gone so now I can watch football again 😂
@@kiely4561gary was my favourite player as a kid wayne seems sound , but this was way bigger than gary , when you have amazing personalities like ian wright etc following you they had to fold, lineker again the captain but also a great team performance
Very interesting video ,and Wayne comes across a very matter of fact ,down to earth bloke ..I was told by somebody years ago that Gary never put a penny into the Lineker bars ,so fair play to Wayne .
Very interesting man seems like hes had a very interesting life much more down to earth than his brother looks well for 60 good on you fella may more luck follow you through your life
Just putting it out there: When the banks went skint the govt used taxpayers money to bail them out. Wayne Lineker had people invest in a business venture that lost him and them significant money. Did it ever cross his mind to reimburse them any money.
Really enjoyed this, had my preconceptions of Wayne in the past but I was completely wrong. Straight talking, down to earth with incredible life experience.
Good job, Rob : keep it real ... just for starters. Follow the narrative, understand situations better. What means broke & our choices, that evolve solutions...
@@jlc3004 😊 yeah, fair play to him. He's lived a life that nigh on every other man on the planet can only ever dream of. I've not been to any of his bars etc, but I know plenty of people who've met Wayne and they've all said what a sound geezer he is. 👍
About 30 years ago I got caught by the inland revenue for twice as much as u. No jail time, just had to pay the money back plus fines and penalties. You got fucked. I then sold up and left the UK. Best thing I ever did !
Wayne seems like a spot on guy here, a family man & businessman, obviously don’t know him personally but I would hint there’s a lot of jealousy out there with the things people say about him over the years 🧐🤔🧐🤔
Brilliant podcast 👏 I think a lot of Wayne an how well he's done. Fair play. Unfortunately I'm to old to Parrrrtay at linikers lol 😅 if not I'd have loved the experience 😊
#waynelineker his place in Tenerife lovely mellow place🙏 Anyway - New Year Old Firm game - Ran v Celtic.1993/94 possibly even 95 🤷🏻♂️ (So as per ends it in violence. Per we never started it. Honest guvnor…) Cut a long story. This guy WL steps up and says to coppers, this guy is an innocent party in this. etc. Now this is partly true. These celtic ‘fans’ got lessons in manners and WL sussed that out even tho the injured parties were sticking us all in? (I got released the following morning about 6am!!) If Wayne Lineker hadn’t persuaded the coppers i’d have been fucked. So thanks mate.🙏👏👏👏
@@jlc3004So much fun that he has to have botox, fillers, and cosmetic surgery in an attempt to pull women that aren't much older than his daughter... and here is in no relationship. He even had to go on a dating show... to not be successful in pursuing girls over half his age. Happiness and fulfillment isn't about material weath and money, and using that to have a string of empty meaningless sexual encounters with partying 20 somethings, who have no emotional or mental depth and maturity or life experiences, and are on a totally different wavelength and level than someone at 60 years old... or even 10 years older than them. It says a lot about him. If that's what fun is to you and the kind of life to dream of then you have an empty life. He might have his empire in Ibiza and his money and empty sex with girls too young for him, but it isn't fulfilling to the soul. Anyone who thinks that having sex with different girls is something to be proud of is empty inside.
I hadn't got a great opinion of him before and I meant to watch 5 mins. Watched the lot and he came across as a decent guy. Shame he's not speaking to Gary.Lifes short
Only seen him once before... not my cup of tea.came across as a right letch.. fellas like this who live in council flats are avoided by young women, money talks 💲💲💲
Look forward to listening to this, don't know much about him, apart from the odd headline. No loss by not speaking to Gary the champagne socialist linekar
Honest 😂 Can't comment on that because of the money laundering. Dj"s must be one of the most overatted jobs ever. Coke taking and coke dealing phoneys.
