How often was it used? Most top-brand pumps last more than 5 years with proper maintenance.

I had this type pump (different model) it stopped auto working on its own when reaching the waterline and requires me to jiggle the connecting piping to activate the pumping. Any idea what might be the problem? I’ve had it for 2 years.

Yep my float switch quit working after one year. It’s non-replaceable by Wayne..
