You are looking at footage that is cut for highlights. All the pitchers start in proper position. For entertainment purposes, because several pitchers have long set positions, their entire pitch/release process is not generally featured. The rulebook for international competition dictates that the circle for the mound is required. Perhaps you are not used to fastpitch rules as this rule applies only to the FP game.
