You are 100% right! At that time, we didn't realize that one day Hip Hop on mainstream would be dead. You know the old saying, you don't a[ppreciate what you have, until you lose it. I would give anything to go back to that Golden Era of Hip Hop
Damn.....15 years old when this shit was new....Junior High shit lol.....I miss the early 2000's man.....didn't realize what I was living in when I was in the moment.

Back then when rappers were talented. Can‘t imagine to ever stop listening to the real rappers! R.I.P Nate Dogg, one of the greatest rappers of all time with the greatest hooks🙏🏻
This whole era was a vibe. I remember listening to this all summer when it came out. There was no social media, you discovered shit and told everyone "y'all heard this??"

ThePemudalope There was a lot of shit back then too, it's just the fact that that didn't survive and it's mostly the good music that is up on youtube and easily available while no one bothers uploading the bad stuff.
This songs makes me feel fuckin' awesome, even after all these years. A Classic is a Classic. Amazing. R.I.P. to Nate Dogg, without a doubt just one of the greates voices in rap 🙏🏼.
@@masterroshimagazines4354 no my friend. Look up the credits to the song dre is not mentioned at all. It says producer: scott storch. Goes to show who came up with the style. If that wasnt the case why did dre keep bringing him back to produce all those hits with him.
juniord817 West Coast was known for that as well back in the day whereas East Coast was proper lyrical. These days rap is just straight up wack shit, disjointed flows with dry content.
If rap kept on like this there would be nothing new to rap about. Shit changes and we have history left for us to enjoy. No one cares, you hip hopster get over yourself
the main difference, and nonetheless the most important one, old gen looked cool, sometimes violent but always clean in their shoes, proud of themselves and their product. It was inspirational for everyone, pointing out the truth in the process during an era where the information was really easy to falsify. Nowadays, it's all about money and cringe, sometimes it's fun and the instrumental is good, but still looking dumb (no, I'm not looking at you at all, Lil' Pump.) There's also the fact that, now the street lifestyle is mainstream, a lot of the fashion industry is trying to hook up the youngsters and turn them into modeling idols. (Like Asap Rocky.) Those sold their soul to the medias before even delivering their product, hence why they don't look cool compared to people that wrote things that mattered to them, and spoke outloud about life in their own game and style before even thinking of making profit. (Heck just look at Jazzmatazz, one of the biggest and most ambitious project in Rap, and it's not even profitable.)
rap keeps changing. I personally would have loved it if G-funk stayed around a little longer. Rap was great until little shits with names like "Young lil punk"(atleast thats what i think they should be named)ruined it. Busters started braggin about money while sounding like they have a cold.
DIOS MÍO, DESDE LA PRIMERA VEZ QUE ESCUCHÉ A NATE DOGG ME ENAMORE DE SU VOZ, HASTA HOY 2020 LO SIGO ESCUCHANDO. BEST FLOW. Saludos desde Argentina brothers
