WDEF's Linda Edwards profiles news anchors from her own station as well as competitors WRCB and WTVC in a story inspired by the movie "Broadcast News."
To have a reporter do a feature story involving anchors and reporters from competing stations in the same market is something you would never see today.
1988.... I was 5! Jeez! This makes me feel old. I've lived in Walker/Catoosa County GA my entire life. I got a little weepy-eyed when Paul Barys got emotional when he was thanking everyone on his retirement video. I've watched all 3 Chattanooga news stations for as long as I can remember. I hate to see all the legends move on. But I also look forward to new legends being made. Stay tuned....
Tamara Lister is a very sweet lady. I met her back in the 90s when I worked for her husband at Grady’s Goodtimes at Hamilton Place. Mike Lister was cool guy to work for.
Wow!!! I was a PA at WTVC Newschannel 9 during this era. Some of these images especially of the studio, newsroom and of course the people, really take me back. I loved my time there and the people I worked with. If you gave me a time machine, I would go back in a second! Fun times!
