Those heated screens are brilliant- I have one on my 1973 VW camper van and it clears the screen in a couple of minutes. Picked mine up from Ricky Evans.. took a while to find their unit.. follow the Sex Shop signs...they are nearby..the screens are made in China.
If you are painting the underside orange are you going to put a sign on it saying 'Other Way Up' to help the marshalls know to put it back on it's wheels?
Don’t want to be a negative Nobody and I love the smoothness of the new gimbal mount but OMG the reflection from the over head light is very annoying, it’s the same on the main channel.
Have you tidied and cleared out the upstairs space? You could use it to store the various parts of your kit car, which will free up space in the workshop.
I think you should find another place for your Kit car and BMW, it will take up a lot of space In the shop. Other then that the shop looks really good.
I remember you were talking about the your web site being down not to long ago and having to work on it. I'm assuming that's still in the works because I tried the address from your new sign with no success.
Hi The heated screen was actually a volvo development but as volvo were owned by Ford at the time Ford took ownership of the patent Not really sure what there was to patent about it just that the filaments were/ are a lot finer
Not that I'm disagreeing with you but Ford were fitting heated windscreens to Granada Scorpios in the 80s and didn't own Volvo until 1999 so are you sure about that?
@IncognitoChild hi Mmm that really dose put some doubt into the equation as it was a dunton powertrain engineer that told me in 99 Still dose it really matter its a great development and the guy or team remain anonymous and only the brand gets the credit
There is nothing worse, as you guys will know, than half a job, when will the workshop be finished painted and above the doors finished in white, just looks so tacky and is letting the place down
From my experience the best engineering shops look like dirty shitholes but they are the ones that do the best job quickly and dont rape your wallet.I would be happier seeing swarf upto peoples ankles and that lovely smell of oil and guys in tatty overalls that know what to do rather than all show and no go.
