I'm a retired heavy truck mechanic. I build rat rods and hot rods. I still use the floor jack and jack stand method with no problem. There are many lifts and other things out there that would be cool to own but the cost for the home hobbyist makes this one made in Denmark a bad investment due to the cost. My guess is this lift is 5 figures. Achon won't provide online pricing but i found a similar lift that has nearly the same spec's sells for $22, 700.00. Not exactly for the weekend warrior that works for a living.

Plenty of mid-rise scissor lifts are in $2000-2500 price range. 3000KG capacity. It won't lift to 6' but I have height restrictions in my garage so 39" was plenty high for me. I purchased one last year to do an EV conversion on a midengined car and had no problems using this to drop my cars engine subframe while retaining access to remove all the parts I didn't need (ex: the gas tanks). Mine was made in China but solidly built and easily assembled. Purchased through a US based distributor and only cost me $2700 including freight charges. There are 2 post lifts in the same range but would have required more space next to the vehicle AND drilling of anchors.

Check your ball joints with a shovel: Jack up the lower control arm, close to the ball joint, so tire is approx one inch off the floor. Slide a spade shovel under the tire and pump up down. Do 9-3 check with your hands. The weight is off the ball joints and makes moving the wheel easy and you can hear/see if they need replacing. The shovel is a lever. Set your camera under the car to see the ball joint movements. I have a 89 Mercedes 560 and works just fine...😀🤔.

I think it's intended for installing the lugs at a factory when you need to do a bunch of the same thing. Bonus is that it would make it nearly impossible to cross thread the lugs. And I do mean it when I say if there is anything I can do for you to please, please let me know. I will be thinking of you, sending positive thoughts and hugs. Yep, I'm one of those old southern women who is a hugger. Please focus on yourself and try to not give up on enjoying the good in your life. I hope you can find at least a little serenity and happiness during this time. Again, do let me know if I can do something to help in any way.🕯️☮️

I've got a Bendpac scissor lift. It's built like Fort Knox. Most importantly (to me), it doesn't cantilever any loads from the concrete. My particular unit is also completely open in the center, allowing me full access to everything underneath of what ever I'm working on.

I use them at least twice a week at our construction sites here in San Diego (where every construction worker is either an illegal alien or an honest hard working Hispanic) right down at the Tijuana border sometimes and They have always worked and worked great! What's your deal?

LMAO that automotive drain line cleaner for $450.00 has to be a joke. Just go buy some weed-wacker line under $10.00 and clean your lines out without breaking your wallet.

4:35 this tool is trash all the way around. only fits 1 pattern. 2 you'd need to buy 5 of every single lug nut socket in order to use as a mechanic and still only works on a specific 5 lug (as the distance is not the same on every vehicle. so waste of time and money. 3 using this with the nuts in the sockets is a sure fire way to cross thread them. you never use an impact to start any nut. 4 unless it has some kind of slip built into the gears if 1 of the bolts doesn't go on easy it will seem like they are all tight instead of 4 being hand tight and one rusty pain in the ass. also if they used these in the factory i'd be unimpressed as the computer running them would have no way to monitor the actual torque of each individual nut. 1 being tight would make them all tight. as stated above the opposite can be said if it did have slip in the tool. If 1 stud was stripped and just spinning the tool would free spin on 1 and not move on the rest. just like a one wheel wonder rear end. really sad it's completely not thought out and so don't waste your money on that. 5:40 this looks like a great tool especially for people up north like me as snow and salt makes everything rust up to become a serious pain...... however the price is the real issue i see. $650?!?! I recently bought a 110v heating coil for $50 which heats 600 gallons of water to 85 degrees F. So just making the coil the size for a nut, and putting a trigger on it doesn't make this a $650 tool. If it actually heated up a nut enough to make a real difference in 15 seconds and had a good warranty i would probably buy this for $200-$300. As it stands now i'd rather keep using my torch. As for these scissor lifts they are seem nice for a low height ceiling and most of the time cheaper than an actual lift. however everything goes bad some time. and i didn't see or hear any type of saftey to keep it from dropping instantly when one of the hydraulics goes out. If you had your arm in the scissors area... well it's gone now. unless you were lifting up a truck and randomly laid down flat without it bouncing and crushing you.... cars would be most likely fatal if working near the front end. so not really in it for me without more detailed information on safety and price to compare just using a lift or a jack and jack stands.
