For me this is another one of those games I wouldn't play myself but could be great fun watching someone else doing it. First episode very enjoyable.

btw charlie a small ship can turn REALLY sharp. that 2 turn ya little boat did was because it was so small. the bigger a ship is the larger the turn is.

this is more like tropico 2 than anno for me...i didnt play anno but i played tropico 2 a lot and this is very similar...i think we could safely call it a mix of tropico 2, anno and sid meiers pirates as far as the ship control/fighting...its all similar to each game definitely worth playing :)

"Why is the rum gone?!" Lol but all jokes aside, I love pirate related stuff, I used to play the shit outta Pirates! The Legend of Black Kat from the old PS 2 days, and while I haven't played it myself, I've seen the entirety of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag, and naturally I've seen most of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies...repeatedly. Basically though I might have to get this since it looks pretty good, so thanks for showing us what this game is all about Charlie! :D

Black Flag is my favorite AC, although that was also the most recent version I’ve played as well. Haven’t had any chances yet to get into the more modern ones

Black Sails was absolute gold (no pun in ten did) and how TV should be produced. Write all of it from beginning to end and then film it all back to back after budget and greenlit. They wanted (the tv studio) them (the writers) to do more of a show due to how much of a hit, it was and they declined. Good on them and good show. I guess Netflix got the rights to it and its why I can't watch it any more on amazon. (yet I have the dvd)

This looks good. It's not as crunchy as Anno, but just a little crunchier than some of the other similar games out there. Besides, any game that sings Drunken Sailor to me is an instant yes.

I was really hoping that a land-based state with a ruling class composed almost entirely of fiercely independent, individualistic, nigh-on nomadic men and women who built their massive fortunes and terrifying reputations on sea-based robbery, murder, and brutal torture would have an easier time settling in and building a peaceable, stable, sedentary society. Where did it all go wrong? Who can say! But _surely_ it couldn't have been doomed from the start! Requiescat In Pace, First Republic of Pirates. Here's a health to the Second!

The thing that really set them off was being totally dropped and left hanging by England. Privateering was too good. Unemployment made them desperate, and at that point, that's the only thing they knew how to do for coin

With such a small limit to available storage, I don't see much of a point in it. It's a resource that is only consumed upon building structures, not as an input to anything else, so once we fill up I can basically shut it down
