I'm a staunch conservative, and strong constitutionalist, but been a registered Republican since I was 18. I'm 48 now, and on Nov. 4th, I switched my registration from Republican to Independent (for now), as I will no longer associate myself with a party with no back bone. Those that said there is no difference between Republican's and democrats...are RIGHT!! In 6 months I will change my registration again to either Libertarian Party or Constitution Party. I will never again vote for ANY Republican...I'm done, and I know there are millions just like me.

I registered for “ automatic enrollment” (for lack of the correct words) for the Military of the USA! In doing so I registered to vote at 18 in 2003! I felt like an anarchist who had no one to vote for! It wasn’t until my rights got stripped from me for a misdemeanor, that I realized how important our voices are! I was told those were boy toys and I couldn't have them. The reason I wanted GI Joe - he wasn't a soy boy like Ken, not that I thought that sophisicatedly at 10 or we had that term in 1968. But I didn't want my Barbie - Midge actually as I insisted that I wanted the redheads, Barbie's best friend Midge and her little sister Skooter instead of Barbie and Skipper - well, I wanted better than Ken for my Midge. I wanted macho GI Joe for my Midge. GI Joe was a toy for boys and I was not allowed to have one. Midge stayed single. I utterly refused Ken and all attempts to push a Ken on me. But, ah, I did get a toy soldier and i think you just explained how. See when we moved into a new house, I found a toy soldier in the back yard, buried in the dirt in our backyard. I dug him up and told no one I had him. I washed him off in the bathroom sink and hid him under my mattress for years and took him out to play with him when no one else was around - which was no mean feat in a family of 10, two parents and 8 siblings and I the middle child. Why did I want a toy soldier? Again, two reasons. Because I have always loved America and been inspired by her heros and A Child's Garden of Verses was one of my favorite books and The Land of Counterpane one of my favorite poems (along with the one about a swing and I swung on swings into my 40s) in it. Yes, that's it. I was 10. It wasn't deep. I still, for the record, admire soldiers, particularly those who defend America. At 10, I also said I wish I was a boy. Two reasons: I had just learned about what women went through every month and was horrified. I didn't want that! I was three years away from that but I sure didn't want that. And because I envied boys their greater strength and speed. Now does this sound like a mature decision to you? If so, what are you on? At 13, I learned how to deal with the former and as I matured I came to realize girls have strengths too, albeit different strengths than boys. Around the same time I learned how to deal with the former. Gee, go figure. Dealing with that pain and mess monthly and the child birth that come with it are two of those strengths. Women are strong and we endure much and our monthly hassle teaches us that. We give birth to the future generations and as a result have greater nesting and nurturing instincts. Pure biology has endowed us with that maternal instintct. Fathers are important parents and do nurture too but women more tend to make a house a home while men protect it. Yes, that's a s*xist thing to say these days but biology. And our biology can't be changed. My role as a mother and then a grandmother are the two most cherished roles of my life. I take/took pride in making my home a loving, happy place for child and grandchld to be. It is the greatest thing I have ever done and the greatest thing I could ever do. Thank God, in 1968, if a 10yo said something stupid because, you know, they are immature, they were not mutuliated. My heart weeps for the children who are now. And also for the little girl now who is made to feel she should be a boy simply because she dug up a toy soldier and spends hours going pew pew pew pretending he's shooting at the enemy threatening America's peace and freedom and the little boy made to feel like he should be a girl because he likes to sew doll clothes. Honestly, it does still p*ss me off when adults get it. Two reasons for that too. It caters to gender stereotypes when there is some overlap. There always will be the girl that likes to be race cars (who should not have to mutilate herself to do that) and the boy who wants to be a stay at home parent (and he should not have to mutilate hmself to do that) and because gender dysphoria, when all is said and done, is a mental disorder and should be treated as such instead of physically. If I had a mental disorder that made me feel like I was the King of France, that delusion would not be catered to but this one is by greedy doctors who will be able to profit off the patient they abuse with improper treatment all their life. It is a lifetime on hormones along with other treatments to keep up the ruse. I have no quarrel with the patient and no hatred for the confused identity that cannot accept the gender that cannot actually be changed; my hatred is purely directed at the doctors who exploit them for profit. I would try to dissuade my grandson from such a course of action because I would not want him thus exploited. Not to metnion the high s*icide rate. Yeah, Ew Tub is probably not going to let this comment stand.
