For many on public assistance, the struggle is very real. It’s a struggle still fueled by the racialized perception of the so-called welfare state and its perceived beneficiaries.
The real welfare queen lived her entire life in Buckingham palace not only completely supported by the tax payers as those who struggle should be but lived a life of unparalleled luxury not struggling at all ,yet taking far more than a reasonable moral person with decency would knowing the suffering that existed even in her own rich country let alone the poor nations she subjected as slaves to make herself richer still. No, my lovelies the true welfare queen is the one who most recently passed away at the age of 95.
@@get_lucky6402 Overcome what? A system that's never been designed for some of us to succeed? Get outta here with that statement. We don't want sympathy or understanding we want the knees off our necks. I think our work history of building America shows we aren't weak and pathetic!
@@godizgd well, then stop acting pathetic. Race doesn't hold you back, there's loads of successful black and brown people. Yall really be acting like you're living during Jim Crowe times or fresh from the slave ship.
@@godizgd not to mention thst the system gives you plenty of ways to succeed. Theres grants, loans, internships, scholarships that aren't available to white people. Thats kinda systemic isn't it?
The real problem is that wage stagnation has made it so people working long hours in difficult jobs aren’t getting that much more than people not working at all; that’s unfair, but it’s mostly unfair because wages are low, not because welfare is so generous. I will say that a high cost of living city like NYC compounds the issue a bit because public housing doesn’t obey market forces. A person who doesn’t work full time with multiple kids could get an apartment for a few hundred dollars a month in a neighborhood where a market rate apartment would rent for $5,000+. Food stamps are nothing compared to that, and it’s crazy that anybody would want to cut food stamps, considering how little money it is anyway.
I have a guy who works with me and he bragged that he made $65K last year! (well I should say he works when he feels like it (he managed to get FMLA and takes 1 or even 2 days off a week, Usually Fridays and Mondays, and the Company can't get rid of him as of yet) He even tried scamming FMLA once by saying he was married to his Baby Mamma (He is NOT), lost his job but somehow due to a "technicality" managed to get it back. He lives with his "Baby Mamma" (kids have HER last name and Zillow lists the house they Rent as 2 Units) and SHE receives Benefits so WHY should he work? The Rent is paid, the Utilities are paid, the Food is paid, everything is paid all by us TAXPAYERS who struggle and work our butts off with OT to try and make ends meet. It's Disgusting and HAS to STOP! Really still believe that "Welfare Fraud" is a myth?
FMLA is not paid, you have to work 1200 hours to get it and FMLA usually uses an employees vacation days first, some places at least. There is no way to scam FMLA because it is a form from your employer that a health practitioner fills out NP/PA/DO/MD depending on how much time you need off, how long per episode, day and what condition(s).There is nothing worse than people who cast judgement on people with FMLA or humiliate them when they come back. Btw we have worst issues than a dude going to work for his family lmao... How dare he. Btw 65k not even survivable with kids ,so i see why she gets benefits, but honestly it is best to worry about getting your ends met and work-life balance. I'd be more pissed that your taxes are used to transfer wealth to big pharma and the military industrial complex via wars and proxy wars, like the expensive one we are seeing now.
The $600 EXTRA a week in unemployment was ridiculous and absolutely did encourage people from looking for work. figure the typical weekly benefit is $350 plus $600 additional that would be $3800 a month. that is way more than many of these people were making working. Unemployment should never be greater than they earned working period.
@@mattgeiger9988 I am a early retiree homeboy damn wage slavery.Keep defending these organized criminals in government wage slaving etc they don't give a damn about you.The army corps of engineers are still waiting for government aid for flood prone zones areas around the country and you taking up for the these white supremacists.Dont be naive.Damn their system.I rather hustle the system then a wage slave for the next 25 to 30 years.I already pay my dues for 19 years.Damn this system and every fool excusing it.
‘abusive relationship’? The ones who get control are these women and the psychos they betray their own kids for. They should tie the tubes or imprison any woman that does that. I had the same problem with my mother who chose to live in a meth addicts apartment. I lost all respect for her though I kind of regret doing that.
The only jobs hiring are fast food joints. Nothing in the accounting field that I got my degree in. You go work at McDonalds and stabilize the economy !
There are more white people. But if you take the percentage of white people on welfare vs black people you won't like what you find out. Also not to mention there's plenty of jobs and plenty of services specifically for POC to get a job and be a productive member of society.
Ok my question is where are the fathers of her 3 children. Why do I as a taxpayer have to pay for the children she made with an irresponsible man as well as her doing it 3 times. NO MY PROBLEM.
These ladies don't stay with one man. They just get pregnant from different men and get paid for 21 years from each. Then never drive or get an education. It's passive income. Figure 500 from each and you got 4 kids. That 2000 a month and now the benefits are covered and the food with snap its a game
It’s amazing to me how bm always tell bw to keep their legs closed, but they won’t wear a condom! But if a bw decides to abort a child they have a problem.
