I’m going to pin this comment. I remember my friend saying something about “soda” when we were there. But it got lost in the debate on what to eat for every meal. Hopefully somebody else will read this and take a bit more time than we did to look up which restaurants are local restaurants.
We booked an AirBNB that happened to be on a resort for Arenal. Without giving away the address I can tell you it was in the Alajuela Province, La Fortuna. That place was great & so was the owner would recommend. I don’t recommend the second AirBNB in Jaco. Had a smell to it, one of the beds had a stain that needed to be cleaned. They charged extra to use AC. Something seemed off about Jaco, especially at night. We stayed in 2 AirBNB’s and a hotel for our 10 days in CR, none of which had hot water. It was just over room temperature, (so not cold) just not hot water.
@@jamestravis21 Yes, Jacó is known to local Costa Ricans as a "not so safe" tourist town. Lots of partying, scorts and quite a bit of robberies occur there. If you are going in a group I would say you are fine just wouldn't recommend roaming the streets at night, if you are going by yourself I would recommend go some other place.
