This was such a great conversation. It's also so needed! I was in tears most of the video because I grew up in church yet we never talked about sex. I have years (MANY) of unhealed trauma, guilt, shame, and fear about a healthy God ordained sex life with my husband. Thank for for bringing to light something I need to go deeper with. Thank you both!

Thank you so much for bringing this topic up, sex is a really hard topic for me to talk about. Growing up being told that sex is reserved for married couples only, but the world has changed so much since then.

I'm so glad this topic being discussed. I have been on a journey with this. I felt so broken and felt ashamed. That I felt that I was hiding a dirty secret. I finally found someone in church that helped me guided me and including pastors wife. I'm now healing little by little. I wished this topic was more discussed when I was teenager and even as a young adult. Instead of being separated in youth and told the do and don't from "kissing dating goodbye"

Unhealed brokenness is everywhere and nobody is safe from sexual thoughts and impure acts. I think the church often doesn’t talk about it for fear of causing temptation to those who are single, so the only sessions I’ve heard are general ones that touch on what the Bible say about sex or aimed at married couples, but not digging in - as if the rest of us single people did not struggle, and leave those unhealed brokenness to specific prayer ministries, as if something dirty to be dealt with in private. Maybe if we talked more about it, fewer single people would walk over to the try before you buy and consequently suffer all the emotional, and not just physical, baggage that comes with it. Loved the tango analogy, sex is meant to be discovered and enjoyed, not Hollywood style. More honesty please!

I think a woman who doesn’t masturbate understands her body and pleasure OVER TIME with a loving husband . It doesn’t happen overnight. I’m divorced now but married as a virgin, having never masturbated etc. So I think newlyweds need to go in with REALISTIC expectations. Love to everyone ❤

Growing up I was hurt by many in the church but I knew God was real and loved me. In church the pastor and others would say that a Christian must marry first before marriage. I had already read the whole bible and couldn’t find anywhere where it literally says God wants us to marry before sex. So out of the hurt from those in church I had a distrust for what the pastor and others were saying. For over a decade I believed God didn’t care about sex before marriage. Until recently I was led to explore the definition of fornication. Thank you for talking about this. Yes sex in the way God wants it should be talked about

Marriage is meant for intimacy, “And the two will become one flesh.” Don’t worry about how you’ll “perform.” That’s what intimacy in marriage is for. In marriage, you work through the awkward stages together and learn how to give of yourself for the pleasure of your spouse. That is the beauty of it all. I was married and had wonderful intimacy (embarrassingly, my wife would sometimes publicly say so :), but sadly our marriage ended in a divorce beyond my control. Have a good intimate marriage, take time for each other, and learn from each other. Don’t let the busyness of life get the best of you. “He who finds a wife, finds a good thing and gains favor from the Lord!”

A very unchristian view. Of course it is wrong to have sex outside of marriage, it is called fornication. Of course it is justified for a man not wanting to marry a non virgin and the same for a woman wanting her husband to be a virgin. But often sinners try to justify their sins...

Also tolerance of this seems to correlate with the increasing role of women in church, while Paul is clear that women should not have any say in such matters. Many women fornicate and then become "born again", even though they knew of Christ before, and want men to see them as clean virgins to be able to settle down when their clock is ticking. Normal uncucked men will always see them as disgusting. But the partiality of these two women is clearly seen in the end of the video, because of their personal sins.

@@be_salt It has always been a conception in christianity that sexual immorality defiles the body. Women not waiting until marriage have always been viewed as harlots. The term born-again virgin is a recent term that would have been laughed at historically. Either invented by shameful women, jews or other satanic influences in the church, in the 60s probably. There are many verses in the bible that put virginity on a pedestal and commands it before marriage. While I do not doubt the forgiveness of sins, a sin once committed will always have been committed. The way these women attack men that want a virgin wife in the end of the video is shameful and is a testament of their sinful nature. As a christian you should feel ashamed and dirty because of your past sins, if not it is a sign that you do not really regret these.

Of course there is shame. God chose a young virgin, what message does a promiscuous 30 year old women convey? You may be Christian and your sins may have been pardoned, but you're still acting like there's nothing wrong.

They clearly talk about sex before marriage being a sin. But surely you believe in God making people new creations, pure and spotless because of Jesus
