We've had the same situation happen TWICE! We adopted our son's really good friend, and their younger sibling, TWO separate times. This is the story of Max and Tony.
I am looking at becoming a foster/ adoptive parent although a single guy here. I know it not really done but would appreciate and tips and advice you have.
You can absolutely do it! There are definitely single foster dad's out there. Check out the "First Steps" videos I made and they will walk you through the process if you are hoping to become a Foster parent. If any agency tells you you can't be licensed because you are a single man, go to a different agency. It's definitely possible
That's a good point. Not a lot of foster dad representation for sure. Have you heard of Jason Johnson? He's not a single foster dad but he's got some stuff out there. Also, there's a guy named Peter Mutabazi out there whose sort of made the rounds in articles about him adopting a teen. He is a single foster dad and did the foster parent thing for a long time as a single dad before the adoption. He has an awesome story
