Roger with white beard:" whats that D in your name? I keep meeting guys with D in their name" -" do you really wanna learn the meaning behind D?" -"yes" -"deez nuts lmao i got you"
I think One piece is not a treasure it just a letter note by Roger. In that written "The Journey You Spend at the sea and The Friends you made on your way or even you meet you enemy to defeat them that is One piece. " Lol 😂XD.
by this point, with all the misdirections, and Oda putting stuff right in our faces, I wouldn't be surprised if Joy Boys real name turned out to be Voi D. Century, lol.
There are 8 D. families and the sun symbol is always depicted with 8 rays or dots. The sun symbol could be the symbol of an organization or project. So the D stands probably for the name of the project that these families all worked on. Dawn seems the most logical but overtime each D family could have adopted it's own meaning for the letter. I think that there are 4 D families for each Blue, 1 for the Red line and 3 for what we now know as the ancient weapons. The Jaguar family as giants are most likely connected to Pluton since Saul himself looks quite a bit like a more human Oars.
But East Blue has 2 D families. Monkey D. and Gol D. Roger and Garp are both native to East Blue, born and raised. South Blue is where Portgas D is. North Blue is Trafalgar D. The only Blue that has yet to have named D is West Blue.
@@rachelciel3330 I think Oda used the celestial beast theme (which he also used for the Yonko). So the Monkey D = Azure dragon clan and thus East, Portgass D = Vermillion bird clan so South, Trafalgar D = Black turtle clan and North, either Rocks or Marshall is the White tiger clan and thus west. And i link Gol D to the red line since i think Oda might go for the yellow dragon of the centre as a theme. And how would Oda make a yellow dragon, you take Dragon and have him make a kid with someone from the Gol D family. By this logic Ace would have been a gold/yellow bird and thus not the correct lineage for the Nika fruit.
Remember that episode from the Simpsons where Homer was searching for what the J. in his name stands for only to fin out it stood for jay? It would be so hilarious the D stands for Dee haha. Anyway...
I know this is a bit off topic - but stairing at the thumbnail something kind of clicked in my head. "X marks the spot". Where is the X? Look at Luffy's chest. Would Oda hide the One Piece in plain sight? Does the one piece have something to do with Luffy's Heart? We know what those drums of liberation can do.. Who knows, looking forward to another solid watch, cheers!
I think instead of luffys heart/ luffy himself being the one piece, it would make a bit more sense if he had the key ( maybe literally) to finding the one piece within him
@@gen1136 most likely it needs the DoL as an energy source. btw hear me out, what if laughtale is in the "bermuda triangle" of one piece world? yk, why would the navy go as far as to put their strongest fortresses in the worst possible "terrain". most likely you need to pre coat your ship and go down the whirpools for thousands of miles
My main theory is based on what Imu said "our enemies used the letter D. to represent themselves" It might just be the name of the organization that opposed the "Gods" The D was then passed on through making their children's Middle Initial D to protect them and as a warning that these individuals are not to be messed with.
My theory blackbeard got quake quake power by eating whitebeard's organ and there is no difference in his body as his stomach was already busted open and big mom also got her power by eating caramel
I believe the "D Family" is actually just a found family, as that is a core theme of One Piece. Oda might have revealed that already as a joke when he mentioned Sa D. Bo
Guys I think I have a better theory hear me out. The D stands for Drugs and here's why: -Luffy G5 is high on weed that's why he keeps laughing the whole time. Same goes to roger becoming the plug to his crew after reaching laughtale. And yes, one piece is some form of drug that's why they all bursted in laughter when they found it. It also makes sense that roger becoming the king of the pirates who has everthing to have a son who has a fire logia which enables roger to have the most handy lighter ever but unable to experience it. Meanwhile, Dragon keeps blazin that's why he got a scar from burning too much woods and finally, Garp also being so high on weed that he always have munchies on his hand. -Rocks is obviously high on Meth which can be the direct reference of the name "rocks" -Blackbeard is probably high on ecstacy which explains high mulitpersonality and being unable to sleep. -Vivi is probably high on coke because she lives in a dessert wherein water is scarce that's why she relies on other bevs like coke which she later on found out that there's another coke to die for. -Saul and Law are probbaly high on Nootropics because they don't want to be left behind considering they alawyas of hang out with smart people and both having the urge to uncover the history, makes them the only legal drug abusers in the D clan. -Rouge if irrelevant so don't mind her he probably just abused some sort of drug that prolongs her delivery.
That would really make sense But lately they've been using the word "Dawn" a lot... Then we have the reappearance of the "Sun God" Nika, who's identity scares so much the nobles at the point of hide his existence, kind of keep it in the dark. And all the connections with astrological terms: "celestial" dragons, the gorosei's names, the planetary in Ohara and Blackbeard being somehow connected to the moon.
I always thought that the "enemy of the gods" was just propaganda spread by the world government and the will of D members are actuall "gods" making this a conflict between gods and false gods.
D doesnt stand for a specific word imo. Its just the strawhat sideways which all of the Joyboy pirates had and its like a sign that their descendants carry.
Black beard is the most interesting member to me. He has the darkness logia Likely the darkness paramecia via gecko’s shadow fruit And probably some kind of unknown darkness zoan coming up
What if D stands for Drum. The first time we where introduced to the D was in Drum island. ALSO some character with D have a connection with music in their names
i’ve got the theory that toki was Lilly, Lilly disappeared one day and toki appeared out of nowhere 800 years later, also she has the same blue hair as Vivi
What if it is a troll of sorts against the Gods? Like a spirit of rebellion, but in the goofy style we’ve come to expect with Luffy? “What’s the enemy of the Gods?” “Deez Nutz”
@Ohara I believe the answer to the mystery of the "D" lies within the Baratie arc, particularly during the confrontation with DON Krieg. This moment introduces a theme of false identities, starting with encountering a counterfeit Don and later expanding to include fake kings and gods. The term "Don," rooted in Spanish, connotes "Lord" and carries historical weight across Spain, Hispanic America, Italy, Portugal, and their former colonies, including the Philippines. Originally reserved for royalty, nobility, and religious leaders, its contemporary usage extends to individuals esteemed for personal, social, or official distinction, like respected community leaders or individuals of notable wealth or lineage. Supporting this theory is the linguistic usage of "Don" in direct address, which, unlike "Mister," requires pairing with a given name. The name of Donquixote Doflamingo further reinforces this interpretation, along with the recurring sound effect marking the end of each episode.
Exactly my Thoughts, its Don or 'Dawn' Golden (gol.don) Roger etc Romance DAWN is the first season Theres a big dialogue with king Neptune foreshadows the Dawn. Also the celestial dragons being fake or false, and they are Donquixotes
Can u make a poll or video asking for some ideas of not just devil fruits but martial arts or maybe weapons ships ext then make a video on the ideas u like the most
i think Roger had the will of Joyboy but lacked his fruit to awaken the true potential of his will. Luffy completes the cycle having both the will of D from joyboy and his fruit. Roger may have found out he needed the fruit but didnt have time so he told shanks to find it and give it to his son who Roger thought would carry on his will becoming joyboy
Yeah, my money is on the D standing for "Devil." It just seems to be the theory with the most foreshadowing to support it: Enemies of God, devil fruits, all that. All the other theories just kinda seem like free association to be honest. Likely it was a very literal attempt to demonize a particularly troublesome group of rebels but it turned into a sort of badge of honor instead. This sort of thing actually happens in anime a lot, I've noticed.
i dont know how i feel about ohara cause so many times i feel like correcting him but hes so passionate about one piece just like me and has such a nice presentation i always end up resubscribing every few months lol
It's possible that the straw hats that imu has in the cold chamber are those of joyboy's nakama, and joyboy was the last one standing. So he would have had a giant crew member who had a giant straw hat, instead of joyboy being an actual giant. Just a theory 😊
I think Toki is Nefertari D. Lili for the following reasons: 1- Cobra mentioned that Lili did not return to arabasta, and Toki in the flashback mentioned that she was from Wano, but Odin found her outside of Wano = Lili, in the past, went to Wano for a reason and began to travel in time until Odin found her. 2- We knew that the Wano borders were open and that the reason for their closure was unknown. I expect that they closed them to cover up the presence ofNefertari D. Lili with them. 3- Odin’s family is the one who writes the Poneglyphs, and I expect that Lily went to them to write history because it is the only way to preserve history. 4- Odin asked her if she was traveling to reach the promised day and she answered yes 5- Toki’s hair color is close to vivi’s 6- Toki, Joy Boy, and Kozuki = Vivi, Luffy, and Momonski 7- maybe imu-sama wants Vivi because she is a descendant of Toki
I disagree with this, purely because I don't think Toki exudes any aura of 'royalty' from Alabasta, she felt like a Wano girl, through and through. Not to mention, it's clearly stated that after Lili's disappearance, the throne falls to her brother, which means Vivi is Lili's brother's descendant.
Kozuki Oden wasn’t a D clan member but also died with a smile. This exception makes me think against the “smile” or “not fearing death” theories. Oda tried really hard to emphasise Oden going with a smile on his face
I swear I heard somewhere that the D clan were the descendants of a crew called, The Dawn Pirates. D for Dawn, a New Dawn, much like Nika the sun God is also the God of the New Dawn.
Luffy and Vivi have few things in common 1) They complete honest leader 2) They Completely fearless leader 3) they loyal to they friend and family 4) they love adventure 5) they both have Will D in their middle in name 6) They despise celestial dragon For try to attempt to enslave their friend 7)They both lost their family members (Ace and Cobra) to world government 8) they have both have frenmise (Luffy and buggy) (Vivi and Wapol) 9) They both Target by Imu for some reason Imu want to capture Vivi alive 10) Luffy and Vivi have huge role in world Luffy is the new Joyboy Vivi is Descend of Nefertari D Lily 11) they listen to each other, like when Vivi got gunshot. Luffy got angry, and Vivi stopped and him, reminding him of his responsibility as leader Luffy understood what Vivi said and Luffy point out that Vivi need stop take All responsibility by herself alone and let her friends help Share the responsibility with her friends that created Strong deep bond between Luffy and Vivi 12) They care about each other so much when Vivi gone missing Luffy about to go back Alabasta Despite very close to reach his dream also when Vivi Chose the stay behind she was crying and Hope that one they will meet again
I saw a comment that blew my mind, it was in another video but I urge everyone who loves foreshadow to check out the introduction of dark king Rayleigh. In that scene we hear the drums of liberation ost for the first time and it absolutely blew my mind. Now it’s not the entire thing but when zunesha was first hearing the drums beat. It’s that sound!
Personally, I've felt like it was "Dawn" since the Marineford arc, but the other words all have a solid argument. Great video! "The ones that bring the Dawn" has been mentioned multiple times as well
i feel like the meaning of D. is "those who dream" but the difference is that it actually affects the entirety of the world, like how roger became the flagbearer of his era and brought upon the golden era of piracy, how garp stood tall on his own justice and principles that many marines now follow and how dragon is able to raise the flag of resistance and is currently resisting the oppression of those who seat on the thrones . The people with the initials of D is fated to have a dream that will impact the entirety of the world or i would say the natural flow of history, which is such a massive problem for someone who controls the world government cause it signifies that D. will never fade away and will always contradict the natural flow with unnaturality for all of eternity, which is probably why Imu is purging the world via flooding everything in the hopes of killing all those who bare the will of D. another part of this thought process is how people can impact the world through desires, where they are able to manifest realities through devil fruits (stated by vegapunk's theory but still unconfirmed) so with this logic we can hypothesize that the people of D. has a much more intense desire that actually manifests into reality no matter the shape or form, its like when they dream it the world bends to their wills to make it happen. SO IF THIS IS TRUE NO MATTER HOW SMALL THAT WOULD EXPLAIN ALOT OF THE DUMB PLOT ARMOR THAT LUFFY HAS 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 if this is how oda will justify luffy's stupid plot armor i would laugh my as.s off 😆😆
My favorite idea. I don't know if anybody else has ever had it. Is the? D represents a smile. Which in turn represents happiness and freedom. No fear in the face of danger.
Around after 17:00 what he said has pure waffle in it Coz every religious person believes Adam(AS) was the first human n wid his wife he had kids n so on and so forth until everyone else now is alive so everyone on earth is related to each other in that sense
"What if the D are the friends we made along the way" "What if the One piece are the D's we made along the way" "What if the D's are the one pieces the made along the way" "What if the One piece are the friends we made along the way"
I was thinking what if it is drum? Like the drum clan? Some drums like the bara look like a D, or it could be djembe drum, which is weirdly 400-800 years old. In my findings a more spiritual sense I read, “The drum connects us to the truth of the spirit that runs through all things. We are one voice and we are all one. Fear disconnects us; Drumming dissolves the fear. Each drum has its own unique voice and vibration.” So some may be like Luffy bringing liberation, some may have different aspirations such as black beard, ect. They give off their own vibrations into the world
But the moon makes a lot more sense in recent context of the world beginning to flood, because the moon controls the tide, and hence pulls the water levels down :D
Just because bb is scared or someone is scared doesn’t mean they aren’t courageous or tough. To just attempt the things bb has done takes more than courage. Master planner if you ask me. Knows what battles he will win and what he won’t.
Not sure if I've seen this one before. But the "D" is the view of the planet from space. With the red line in the middle half the planet looks like a D! That's all I got.
one of my favorite D theories is that it stands for Davy and it was a homage to an island whale that was friends with Joyboy's crew similar to for brooks crew. And that the D is actually is a hint for future descendants. not my own theory but daks sake theory. regardless great video :)
I got a small theory! What if the One piece is Luffy's next power up, like his weapon that could shape the world just sitting next to a poniglyph explaining that the Nika fruit only comes around every so many years and that's why Roger was 20 years too early. That would explain why the Gorosei are scared of him finding it now and not when anybody else found it because the nika fruit hadn't respawned yet
I think that Blackbeard will be defeated by luffy and Coby as he think that he is kind of a reincarnation of rocks.d.xebec and was defeated by the gol.d.roger and monkey.d.garp . What do you think about this ? 🤔
I think the D stands for Davy, as in Davy Jones, and that he and Joy Boy were alive at the same time during the void century. It’s not based on any kind of fact or theory crafting, it’s mainly just head cannon, but I want to to be real so bad
I like the smile and the moon theories. I think the ancient kingdom was a place with all types of ppl like Big Mom wanted. It seems that most of the pirates in general with the strongest wills (Conqueror's) had a Dream that was partially relevant to the ancient kingdom/joy boy in general either twisting it or missing the mark just slightly. Hell even Enel went to the moon and found an ancient kingdom. I'll just let Oda keep cook.
Oden died with a smile, Rosinante died with a supposed "smile" but it was his tattoo, Pound from whole cake island, Pedro before he blew himself up, Otahime, Bellemere. It's the final act that you do that gives you the will of the D.
