and again 6 days later I miss Ann, My Beautiful Wife of 30 Years, Taken from me 4 months and 2 Day’s ago I Love You Ann God I’d give anything to Slow Dance to You with this and Hope the Song would Last Forever Like Our Love I miss You soooooo much Ann
My friend David and I, both lifelong music lovers have attended 20 plus concerts in the past 6 years as best friends. He mentioned that one of his dreams was to see Boz Scaggs. For his birthday in October 2022 I suprised him with front row tickets to see Boz in Grand Junction Colorado. We made the trip from Albuquerque to fufill his dream. I was so honered to be able to make his dream come true for him. The concert was magical and we made our way safely home. Three weeks later David passed away. I loved him as a brother and miss him tremendously. The reason for this comment is to inspire others to show love to the people in your life that really mean somrthing to you. Don't wait to express your feelings. Fulfill someone's dream. Do it today, you will be glad you did. RIP David Leach 😢
Back in 1975 my husband and I just started dating. I had the 8 track Silk Degrees. We used to dim the lights and slow dance to this song. We married in 1979 and had a son in 1987. My husband passed away in 2004 of colon cancer, he was 53. In 2009 Boz was in Tulsa Oklahoma. My son who was in college at the time, attended the concert with me . It was bittersweet but well worth it. Rest In Peace Wilbur and thanks for the music and the memories, Boz.
His voice, timbre, and his CONTACT with fans.....God, what eyes too!! He has given so much pleasure........and risen above heartbreaking losses. I hope he is pleased that he still is LOVED & ENJOYED. 🎼❤🎶🇨🇦❣
This is the first love letter my one and only ❤ wrote me at 11 years old . We are now married 38 years, have 9 adult kids and 26 granchildren..God is Good. Throw it to the wind... o hold me dear...We're all alone...my Love...Forevermore...
I've listened to this song since the 1970s. Have been listening to a number of different versions over the past few weeks. Every one of them makes me cry. I close my eyes and dammit, I could swear I'm 21 years old again. I'm happy, I'm sad, I'm in love, I'm lost, I'm all over the emotional map. I guess this is what "timeless" means. Just beautiful. I've never seen Boz Scaggs live, but he just "seems" like a guy who would be a cool friend. Stay safe everybody.
Some singers just make you Feel Like.....if there wasn’t any music in this world..... Your life doesn’t make any sense..that’s how music is to my life... Can’t live without music....
One of the greatest rock ballads of all time. Boz has an inimitable voice of a certain timbre that just puts me in a zone. Plus. he's got the world's coolest name.
I love him then and i love him now...he hasnt change that much he's still that debonair charismatic good looking guy, most of all after all those years....the voice still incredibly amazing!😊🥰🥰🥰
I don’t know if you knew that bar Skaggs and David Foster wrote that song for the urban cowboy love look what you’ve done for me you need to look it up because I explained it was very hard doing this song to make it look good with John Travolta Walmart so they did a collaboration on the song so you got to go look at that video
Amazing artist. Boz Scaggs is still as talented as he has always been and his voice still sends chills up my spine and brings tears to my eyes every time I hear this song. This video was even more impactful!
I second your sentiment. That incredibly distinctive, bluesy voice of his has aged like fine wine. I saw him in concert 7-8 weeks ago in Dayton, OH (8/14/2022) . . at age 78 he's better than ever!
Missed this great guy! Missed the good ole'days this song first came up. He's one of the best artist! Hope Bozz still doing good! Hope to hear from him!! Love you man! You're a great part of my teenage life 'till now!! 💕💕💕
I just discovered Boz...2020. Where have l been to miss this amazing man. I’m 78 now and l can’t get enough of his songs... l looked at some of his early rock videos and, realized how l missed him , because l wasn’t into that type of rock music but, even though he did have some romantic songs then too. l love his truly romantic songs.
One of the greatest albums of all time. Not one filler song, all classics that are etched in your mind. Its over, Georgia, What can i say, Lowdown, Lido shuffle, Were all alone, Harbor lights. That's a career for most artists.
Don't know how old you are but Boz was a big part of my growing up. I live in the San Francisco Bay area and so does he. My parents knew I was a music fan so I got to see a lot of music live as a teenager. Grew up seeing Boz live.
One of my all time favourite songs….his voice gets better with age….beautiful….listening to this while waiting for a phone call about how long my aunt has…she has inoperable lung cancer…misdiagnosed 13 months ago….praying for her….enjoy every day you have…..it’s now later the same day…cancer has metastasized to her brain…..she’s only 66….I have no words…peace everyone….
It's not supposed to be a tearjerker at least lyrically and thematically (as it was for a specific scene in a movie) but it certainly comes across that way.
I discovered Boz in the mid 1970s, and his stature has only grown more mellow, deeper and richer in all those years. Thank you, dear Boz. Love you forever☮
@Boz Scaggs ♪ THANK YOU I LOVE YOUR SONGS I AM BORN AND RAISED IN HAWAII I LIVE ON THE BIG ISLAND I HOPE ONE DAY I CAN SEE YOU PLAY LIVE CONCERT IN KONA OR HILO MY TOWN I WOULD LOVE TO MEET YOU IT WOULD BE A HONOR GOD BLESS YOU AND KEEP YOU SAFE AND HEALTHY MY DEAR FRIEND
This song had just come out when I met who would change my life forever. My Dad ended our togetherness when he realized this man was the one for me. My Dad wanted me to finish my degree and David wanted me to become the wife of a real Miami Vice. That was 50 years ago. Even though David and I went on to marry several other people, we always found one another when the ache inside would spill over. I found him again last September and learned that he longed for me as deeply as I for him. This song gently wraps around me like many layers of the velvet cocoon of the 70's.
I always heard this music on the radio every late nights and finally I got the correct song title, now this song is one of my favorite also added this to my playlist. This song serenade my heart and soul 😌
This song is too memorable to me as this music was frequently listened from the radio while I was driving for the first time in US. This music made my lonely heart comfortable. Even now this gives me comfort and reminds me of early 1981 in US.
I stopped my bicycle when I first heard this song on the earphone on my walkman. I was just back from Uni and heard the song, sung by Rita Coolidge. Loved it so much, I bought her vinyl album ( no google nor internet then), then I learnt it was composed by Boz Scaggs, my other favourite artist too. Am 60 now, loves the song whenever I hear it. Could play it on my guitar or the keyboard, but cant sing it like he does. Boz vocals is indeed unique.
Bozz was the first song lyrics are the most important thing of the music and this song is the opening by my day off uss merriment day and now I have lost her 10.mnt ago may she R.I.P. that God speed with my wife
What a beautiful song. Great singer indeed. Only recently started listening to him and find it a really great experience, does something to my heart, and every listener I guess.
