I’m so glad that the doctors commenting underneath this video are very much informed about the whole training procedures and the importance of having a proper medical training/residency guideway process!!! I wish more people would understand about the basics of residency and hard work to end up becoming a consultant in their required field( proper residency training) no matter how hard it is!!! Never ever go for short cuts!!!
She think we medical drs are dumb , one year training is eqaul to fcsp dermatology wao.. we did 2 year training in medicine then 3 year specialization of derma then become specialist in dermatology after hard work, and same training will be more tougher in UK. this new generation wanted to do 6 month to 1 year course in derma only for asthetic clinc and earning money in short time without doing hard working and struggling and good knowledge and good training program
So basically she didn't get a job in UK and didn't want to do actual hard work. But please don't misguide people. One year MSc cannot replace years of clinical training to become an actual dermatology consultant. MSc in derm or any clinical field in the UK is undertaken purely to improve one's CV to get into specialty training which is minimum 7 years following which you have to appear for specialty exit exams. Only then can you call yourself a Consultant or practice as a dermatologist. But yes Pakistan mein kuch bhi chalta hai and any one can call themselves a Consultant.... Also, for Bachelors and Masters programs UK has stopped issuing visas for dependants. When you make an 'informative' video after doing 'thorough research' please don't misguide other people.
@@Yumna1993 Exactly my point I think her way of saying was wrong ( I’m sure she pretty much knows FCPS and proper dermatology training ki kya khuwari scene hay and kya importance hay in Pakistan!) Yes I know they are so many people who go for diplomas and are sitting here in Islamabad with their clinics open (with just diplomas certifications) in aesthetic medicine You can’t be a consultant without perusing 5 years of training (for Derma) Plus I believe there is a huge difference in the knowledge and capabilities Hum paghal ni hain Jo FCPS ki khuwari say guzar rhay hain for Derma!!! All that sweat blood and tears! At one point in life, even I thought of going for aesthetic diplomas first, but I had good mentors in Islamabad who guided me, and advised me to never go for SHORTCUTS! Agar kuch Specialize krna hay tau proper tareqay say kro !!! I can assure you, insan ka pata chal jata hay Waisay bi from the knowledge and the set up ( as there’s a big difference between a proper FCPS consultant as compared to somebody who has only done diplomas)
@@DrZaraM Couldn’t agree more. I think this is actually dangerous and unethical to put patients in danger who may actually require medical attention of an accredited dermatologist and not an aesthetic person. I am sure she herself wouldn’t want to see someone with a diploma if she got serious skin related issues. Treat others the way you would want to be treated. People can be book smart but she doesn’t seem like smart in practical aspect of medicine. It’s not about memorisation of medical books but application of that knowledge which comes with years of training.
I'm not from Pakistan but I noticed, Pakistan he nhi my cousin's from Canada Sirf bachelor like mbbs kr k Without any practice khud ko doctor doctor kehte Hain don't even let anyone speak lol toh please ye sab har jaga hota hai, practically nhi hot bahir but mindset sabka yehi hai k bae hum ab doctor doctor at least I have seen this thing.

@@numnumtv1 i was thinking the same. Even to get into a masters programme you need to be working in respective field. But i guess pakistan mai sb chlta hai.
Travelling, living expenses and university fees, total is around 2 crore pakistani rupees. It's your money. But kindly don't misguide young doctors. You can not write prescription for simple acne in UK after this qualification. Yes you can open clinic in pakistan. Health care commission won't allow you to practise as dermatologist.
To y Pakistan a kr ge practice kare gi na ider logo ko bewakof banana asaan hai ... Her mother got her job through her pr here in pims Islamabad by by passing many senior doctors still she doesn't want to work there
Just to increase authority of her business blissful she's doing a year course😅😅. Stop misleading medical aspirants. Its not equivalent to MD in dermatology. Burger people. Not even a practicing doctor at all.
There is currently ban on Masters students in UK to bring their spouse or family member to UK which means Ali will be sitting in UK on visit visa which is not a good idea long term. The UK immigration is very strick on this and they will suspect that any one staying long term on visit visa must be working and this will also effect your future visa and entries to UK as questions will be asked on airport whenever you enter UK
Who is this ignorant , self centred khatoon jo keh rahe hai k Pakistan me ab no one does FCPS dermatology. Jo bat nahe pra hti, us ko nahe bolty, ghalt bayani krny ki bjaye, we have lots and lots of FCPS dermatologists doing this degree every year. Aap pta nahe kahan rehti hain.
I am very impressed and glad to know about your future plan to do MS in dermatology. I hope other ladies will explore their options and make an informed decision. You rightly said, education will always help you. After being a house wife for 15 years in Dubai with my medical degree, I not only raised three wonderful children but now working as an Anatomy professor in Chicago. Lots of love and blessings❤️
Check with UIC dental school if they give you credit and give you an expedited course. Academia is always an option. Start as a part time at CPS or any college. CPS also need a substitute teacher. Start your journey and good luck❤️
This is not equivalent to dermatology training and residency. In order to become an expert in dermatology, you go through rigorous 4 years residency- it’s very very competitive. You have to have extremely competitive step 1 and step 2 scores (plab1 & 2)to get into dermatology. If you haven’t scored good enough then you can’t fool people! You complete one year internal medicine residency, and then 3 years dermatology residency. Then people often choose to do fellowship too. I am not even sure, she has completed her internal medicine residency. Many people probably open such skin clinics in Pakistan and fool innocent people . Dermatology is serious and I urge people not to put their skin’s health in the hands of amateurs who are pretending to be dermatologists!
Salam I' ve completed my fcps training in diagnostic radiology . If u dream to achieve anything in life then apko trainings se dar nai lagta. U chose to have a simple n short route good enough but ap fcps wale gareeb logon ko degrade na karen . Hahaha best wishes for you n your hsband. Take care. May Allah ta Alla bless u both.

Kam salary pe bhi they are working hard and foing such tough trainings , not choosing short cuts. It's her choice whatever she wants to do but she cannot mislead people
Aj sary doctors kidhr se nikal aye han... Mai bhi doctor hun.. Bt I m OK with other people's choice... Her kisi ki aoni life ha.. Jesy wo guzarbal chahen...
A master's in dermatology is very different from training in dermatology. Again, claiming that one year of a master's degree will cover four years of FCPS is misinformation. These one-year master's degrees are mostly by doctors to improve their CVs and to get entry into specific speciality training.
Right. It’s wild to compare a year long course to specialty training. There is no way you can become dermatology specialist in just one year of course. It takes doctors years.
@@Sam-rc8pnno she won’t become a dermatologist definitely not in UK. Maybe you can fool Pakistani public by saying I have “msc in dermatology from uk” and start a clinic. But since GMC here has strict regulations people can’t practice like that. Doctors need to go through rigorous training before they claim to be a specialist.
@@rafiabaqai3275 yes very aware of GMC and NHS rules. You are right easy to sell this to Pakistani awam UK certified degree and poor people won’t even know its not a legit training in any capacity.
Anya best of luck for your future plans..one thing i wld like to clear is ke fcps dermatology is not 4 years but 5 years with initial two years of general medicine preceded but part 1 exam that too is not that easy, after two years of gen.medicine training u have to apear in IMM that has two parts one theory and other clinical, thn there are three years of dermatology training which includes long duty hours including nights with high flow of patients even in derma thr are critical patients in ward if u r doing it in a big govt set-up,also u have to do research work if u r in fcps training program, after those three years u have to appear in part 2 which is the toughest of all exit exams any where in the world full of mental torcher and many times failing without any reason just on pitty issues all depending on examiners mood..and through out these years also u have to look after your family, kids with v.limitted source of income..on the other hand mcps has no part1,imm,part 2 or research work also they dont undergo very deeply thru the course thre exit exam is also easy as well as compared to fcps..u r right most pick mcps thats y even now people going for more easy ways of just doing some aesthetic courses and claiming them as dermatologist in clinic which i think is v unethical, even non doctors including nurses beauticians and dental surgeons doing aesthetic practice in Pakistan which is v sad.. I think listening to your concerns regarding saving time and starting set-up as soon as possible this is the best possible way u can go for..but one thing is that u cant learn derma in just one year..thre is a huge difference in knowledge that u will only see when u sit with a fcps, mcps or msc guy, even the setup u hv done training also counts..
This is misleading!! One-year of MSc in Dermatology is not equivalent to four-years of dermatology extensive training in Pk. If a few dermatologists are doing one-year of MSc training and calling themselves dermatologists, then this explains why some dermatologist in PK are so bad at their jobs and notorious for unethical practices. The is called 'cutting corners', you are endorsing it and taking the same route? I could be wrong but the impression I got from this video is that Anya loves academic hard work but she is not willing to put in the hard work and years for becoming a certified dermatologist. And, that's her call, but kindly do not encourage others to do the same. And it's ok if you didn't get a job in the UK as a GP trainee, but please don't contradict yourself that you didn't apply for jobs!
I didn't realize people sensible like you watch them. Very well said. I felt the same about her saying not applying for jobs. I live in London, and I know doctor jobs are extremely saturated. And a lot of chaos is happening with national health service. Would have been nice if they were honest and open. It doesn't harm their image or anything but I guess each to their own.
You've got so much knowledge gaps here...before making a vlog you should have done a bit of research first ...FCPS is preferred over MCPS with a two year initial training in medicine...plus there are so many actually brilliant pakistani students out there...who clear MRCP during their FCPS training and go to the UK as registrar and pursue further training .....plus there are international training programs in liaison with the college of physicians and surgeons pakistan .... Plus for the record..USMLE is more tough.....

No degree replace fcps, MRCp, s, oG, steps, plabs, 1yr degree will not replace , post graduate training of any country, I am fcps , but we are compitent enough now to pass exam of any country
Stop fooling people I have three siblings and all of them are medical graduates. All of them got a perfect 99 percentile score on their American exams and they’re working in best hospitals in America and if you are a good student, you will easily get into a job in the UK after clearing the exams and also you have only cleared two exams. There’s a third exam you’re not telling the people about. So stop trying to cheat us by stating information that oh I did not wanted to Go, you you did not get a chance because the thing is that you did not fulfill their requirements. I have my friends also in the UK who are working as doctors and they have easily gotten jobs after clearing their exams and they are actually from a government university I don’t I think your education is also from a private university, which makes you less capable of actually getting into the job system in the UK because of your poor capacity for diagnosis.

How do you become dermatologist after only a master ? In uk after working as foundation doctor and training. You have to secure StR and train for further four year and pass SCE. Only then you become accredited dermatologist. Not with just a one year master. That course helps doctors as stepping stone to secure StR since dermatology is most popular and not easy to get in. But I guess in Pakistan you can open a clinic as a “dermatologist” with a diploma.
@@taniairfan5990 Exactly if it was that easy. Everyone would be a dermatologist. Also, not only doctor but nurses and pharmacist can also do this course. Cardiff isn’t only uni which does it, Kings College London (Russell group) also does this course but I am guessing it would be pretty expensive.
It is expensive unless the trust pays for it then people usually do it, and lots of doctors in the UK don’t do Masters they basically just do their speciality training. I guess you could do a Masters from UK and open a clinic in Pakistan, I am not sure how things work in Pakistan.

Ali is doing a great job supporting his wife. If more husbands of our society do that, then no female doctors will be sitting home. More power to you guys! And this is an absolutely crappy discussion that Anya is making her move away from his family. Actually, this is how it should be for married couples. They are not supposed to live with their families anyways, neither wives nor HUSBANDS. Its high time our society accepts and acknowledges this reality. All the best, guys!
This whole thing was truly worth watching. Ali Hamza was absolutely right, “end tak dekhiyega” it’s so so worth the time and full of motivation. May god bless you guys with the best of everything.
Respectfully I disagree. I get it's your opinion but commenting only because there's misinformation. You've mentioned the salary of a fourth year postgraduate in Pakistan but once that PG becomes a consultant, fortunes change in no time. Secondly, there's no alternative to a proper degree. As the wise say, paisa rizq aap ke peechay bhaagay ga, aap bas apna kaam karein.

Moreover, this trend of doing diplomas in aesthetic derma or even mcps, none of them are consultants or can be, provided the heavy competition in the twin cities now! Being an obs and gynae fcps , i would say that fcps needs alot dedication and hardwork . . . Not everbody can do it . . . Derma is a bit relax regarding duties and practical work but then you have to study so many volumes of textbooks and their theoretical exam is very tough . . . And you say they teach you everything related to derma in 1year? for God sake dont fool people . . If you have started it straight after your house job was done rather than involving in unnecessary trips, skin care brand , then it would be so easy for you to complete . . Or you would have chosen mcps . . .
Well, not everyone has 32000 pounds for a year, some people have to dig well to earn that much money..so you can't undermine the hard work over short cut.
