As noted in the comments: the Games Radar article has been updated to note that there are not 16 plans for the Horizon franchise but instead that they referred to the 2016 plans timeline. Still we will ofc see a lot of new Horizon stuff moving forward, but yeah the 16 number was misreported by Games Radar lol.
If the tv series is horizon 2047 that dosnt mesh with the lore as during that year. 2047 the extinction was still in full swing . If I’m wrong please correct me!!’ Love the Chanel.
Success can make you greedy.. That worries me. The special thing about Horizon for me is the fantastic story. They put so much heart and soul into it. The fate of the old, the inevitable end, and the struggle to start over. Of course, the gameplay is fun too, but I'm more concerned with the lore. Many game might water down the story. They should rather focus on a great third part. Gladly also publish more books and comics. I personally don't need a multiplayer.
@@koniczka2000 they already had confirmed that they are done with FW and aim to expand the franchise in other ways like the online game and the Netflix show
Huge fan of the series, but I don't have any interest in an MMO or other multiplayer spinoff. Likewise, Netflix has shown themselves to be largely incompetent at adapting any source material into a show. I'll buy Horizon 3 in a heartbeat though.
I hope they add Forbidden West's inventory system into Zero Dawn's remaster. That alone would make it worth the money because then I'd be able to spend more time killing machines and less worrying about resources.
The lore is so good they could literally do a prequel game of the Old Ones when all hell breaks loose! I can literally see all the deathbringers and corrupters eating the biosphere plus all the guns and Arsenal your character would have! That be so dope!
While call of the mountain is different i found it very interesting to look at the world of Horizon trough a Carja’s eye, without having a focus. I was constantly wandering, what is this place? What happened here etc. The “not knowing” added a lot to the world I think. Also, you learn a lot more information about the red raids and the relations between shadow carja and the normal ones. And excuse me, but killing a TJ or SB “yourself” virtually in stead of watching Aloy do it, is really really something different. I loved it!
A point of clarification: As I posted publicly on July 16th, there are NOT 16 horizon projects in the works. GamesRadar, who hosted the interview Jor was referencing here, updated their article on the subject to clarify that Studio and Art Director Jan-Bart van Beek mentioned that the plan laid out for the Horizon franchise "started in 2016 is still clicking on and we have a lot of plans." That is the actual quote. He was referencing 2016 plans, not 16 individual projects. GamesRadar has corrected their article on this, but there's a bunch of other articles and headlines that have not. Just wanted to make sure people had accurate info 👍🏼
@@JorRaptorNo problem 👍🏼 And yeah it was totally wrong and confusing when they first published it lol. Unfortunately, every other outlet picked up the headline and they haven’t bothered to correct it.
I loved horzion zero dawn frozen wilds, forbidden west and burning shores. Im excited for horzion 3 in the future i hope its single player only and ps5 console exclusive.
Horizon: Zero Dawn re-awakend my love for gaming. Forbidden West met any and every expectation I had as a sequel. Hearing that we are most likely getting more has me super excited, Especially a multi-player game!!
I enjoyed the game. Simple as that. No reason for you to get butt hurt my guy. The only complaint I ever had for the game was that some of the facial animations felt stale, and that was fixed in later installments.
I don't think that the Datapoint from 4:30 mean the Delta, because the east from Aloys point of view as she lives on the American continent would the the east cost of the US and the Delta would be in the west for the shortest way. If we take a look at the map that we see at the end of Burning Shores all Tech and/or weapon Manufacturers that attracted Londras attention are in the US with one at the east close to NY.
This news of so many Horizon projects happening all at once is nothing but concerning to me. Sony is really headed in a scetchy direction from what we know right now. I'm not really into it.
Fr, whats up with all the multiplayer bullsh**, they need to always stick with singleplayer and be the ones who make the greatest games ever. I hope they don't continue down this path man
@@christianthompson5640agreed. That's what made me get a ps4 and ps5. I love their games and out of the more recent IPs, Horizon is my absolute favorite. I don't want them to go full ubisoft with it. Keep it spaced out. Personally I'm over multiplayer. To me it's a cheap way out. Getting tired of it personally. Also, I don't like Jim Ryan as head of the playstation brand. Every since he's been on, sony as been doing some anticonsumer and questionable stuff. Stick with your formula sony. It works.
Definitely interested in a horizon MMO. I think this world has the potential to be less toxic than others and a friendly place to hang out. Regarding the note about the third game - wouldn't east be in the direction of the east coast? New York e.g.? The quen lands lie to the west from where Aloy is.
Just finished playing the entire game of Horizon Call of the Mountain PSVR2 on the channel, absolutely LOVED it, one of best VR experiences ever played... I really hope another VR experience/game is a part of this.
All sounds very exciting, looking very forward to that online Horizon game, it'll be nice to see what it is after all these years of speculation. As for the HZD remake, whilst I don't believe we need it, I'll still buy it when it comes out because just like you Jordan I am a sucker for Horizon!
I'm guessing that the third horizon game would give us access to the Zenith space station, which in turn would allow us transporter style access to exploration hubs all over the world. China, most likely, would be a major exploration hub. I'm hoping that London will be another one. Amsterdam might also be a exploration hub, as a nod to Guerrilla's home base, maybe? Whatever cities/countries they choose, I'm sure it will be amazing!
A MMO is for me the least exciting news regarding this franchise. I have both games close to my heart, because especially the sequel gave me that single player immersion that Skyrim did, but better. I forgot how good it feels to get immersed in a superb single player game, not bothered by other players or mmo mechanics. I hope they'll make a new game about Aloy, or one where you can make your own char, set maybe a decade after the sequel events, where you can combine more technology, yet tackle rogue machines or who knows what threats from the past or future? The way the devs delivered the story in both games, especially the first one, was what totally sold this game to me.
If done right I think the rumored Monster Hunter type game can be fun, definitely will not be able to compete with Monster Hunter but would be a fun take on the genre set in the Horizon universe. Would allow us to visit other locations too, hopefully introduce classes?
Just Horizon 3 will do, thank you. I feel that Guerilla Games are spreading themselves too thin with all this needless, greedy shit. Instead of announcing a hundred new Horizon projects, what they should be focusing on is making a great third main game, because although there hasn't been a bad game yet, the quality has dipped a hell of a lot from the excellent first game. Burning Shores was still all right, but I struggled to finish it. Whereas with the main games, I couldn't stop playing them.
I think it's inevitable that Aloy goes into space. That door has been there since the beginning, and it would be way too satisfying to walk through it, and see what new monsters the long-lived ones have created.
Surely you realize that Horizon single player quality graphics are NOT close to being possible in a multiplayer environment. Hell it’s not even possible in a co-op setting 🙄
Just leave it as a campaign game and continue the story. This is such a awesome game but would lose many of the older players as we don't like on-line games
Forbidden West was incredible. I hope in the future they make a spin-off with a playable guy, I feel like he would look so cool. Guerrilla has tons of amazing artists
Perhaps we may get spin offs at some point? Cause they said they want to continue this series for a long while and as much as I like aloy as a character I would like to see the conclusion of her story rather then dragging out her characters and messing up the story
@@WrldClassVillain I disagree. You can make more stories without changing the character, especially because this is how it’s been set up. Change the character and the story wouldn’t be the same, nor would be the same experience. I’d rather they stick to a trilogy or tetralogy rather than continuing on forever or change the main character.
@@Everlak89 well rn alloy is probably the only character I have as a favourite but let’s say they add an amazing character down the road could have a spin off for him like similar to the fate series if you’ve seen that cause the point of the spin off would be to explore the world more and as for alloy she would be used for the story manly
What does the Horizon Zero Dawn remake have to do for me to play it? Exist. Like you, I'm a sucker for this series. Call of the Mountain isn't in the cards financially since I have to buy the VR2 set as well, but it's on the list for some future moment.
Burning Shores took way too long to be released. I’d basically forgotten all about Forbidden West by the time the DLC came out. I never played it even tho I did buy it.
I'm pretty sure Horizon 3 will be set in Japan and maybe additional Asia. You mentioned the right hints, but also makes total sense in regards to where the Guerilla devteam wants to evolve (architecture, culture) and for SONY it's the perfect opportunity to have a spectacular open world in their cultural origin. And Hawaii would be an elegant intro region. Great video and summary of all info!
@@hallowknightmare9451 Culturally, Asia is considered global east. The Americas are the global west. So if you're leaving a hint, you mention the east.
I've played the two Horizon games and have no interest in the call of the mountain, I will keep open mind for the multiplayer games, if they look interesting I will give it a go, if not, I am happy to just end the Journey with Horizon 3. Also, I think the earliest we will get to see the multiplayer game is next year presuming the game is coming out in 2025. I know that they've been working on that game for 5+ years, but I'd imagine Guerrilla spent the past 5 years focusing on forbidden west, and the multiplayer team only recently after the burning shore release gets the full attention of the studio, I have a hard time picturing multiplayer game release in 2024.
This is gonna be really exciting for me because I love adventure games, fighting and just love horzion I'm really excited to see what other new stuff they put!
Love the franchise but with so much in the works burn-out could be achieved with it very quickly. Hope its not the case but too much of a good thing can turn sour.
Concerning the cast of the upcoming netflix tv show, i would definitely go with Hannah Hoekstra to play Aloy as she did in the games. That is a must have choice for me!❤❤❤
no one wants a live service horizon game, i don't get this mind set, people play horizon because it's a single player game. and i am sure there is people out there that lke the co-op aspect, but why do these companies damage their brand to cater to the smallest voice.
Horizon Zero Dawn remake is absolutely silly. I’m playing it on PC currently, so I can move on to FW, and it looks and plays amazing still! Now, I would enjoy an MMO style game in this universe. This has quickly become one of my favorite franchises.
It's now one of my favorite franchises. Simply magical. I would actually love a MMORPG style game in the franchise as long as it doesn't interfere with the work on Horizon 3.
I really hope the next games don’t take us to another country. I know that the geography of the world changed due to terraforming, but I don’t like how Colorado Springs and Denver are the “Savage Nora Lands of the far East” is there nothing else more East? Midwest states are FLAT AF, but it confuses me…..
I'm out for multiplayer, MMO and the re-release of HZD But looking forward to the next single player game Sceptical about the series hope its done right and holds true to the lore shame we won't have Reddick he would have been great for the series, you are missed
TBF HZD rerelease may be more of a remake with HFW features like more accessibility features. Also the potential to truly showcase what’s at stack at the Battle of the Alight on the ps5 hardware will also be worth the price of admission
Yes Please because when I first played HZD I wished it could have been MP with co op it just make sense But please don’t Fck it up and gives us another Apex or Forinte Please God
I'm so sad I might never to play .cause they think I AM nuts I because they think I ammmmm nuts I was alone and yet I still miss people don't exist so much . I do anything to talk to them all Especially the hot balloon 🎈 guy. I'M So home for horizon zero. And forbidden west . But doubt King avad would make time for me Because I'm not important enough even in that world I don't think. Unless I aloy or Ezra or errand or ect. if there were real people, even the npcs.
I wouldn't play a multiplayer, because I don't like them. I like to play on my own time. I definitely think that we're going to Asia, though I haven't had time to finish the second game yet. I know, I had a baby... I was trying to finish it before he came, but it was just not happening. I also thing it would be cool to go to Europe after Asia. Probably because I live in Europe, but I really love it when I see my continent in a game.
They took 5 years to develop forbidden west which essentially turned out to be the exact same game as the first one with minor improvements and now they're going overboard with all the projects. Yeah, horizon 3 will just be the same game with tiny graphical improvements..
Been 5 years in development and they're advertising for a combat designer? Sounds like a LOOONG way off to me. Edit - though it would be good to have put dates on those job listings as the video implies these are recent. And I'm sure most fans are decidedly concerned by the Fortnite-like visual design in the images. So not confident at all
I hope the tv series focuses on retelling the Zero Dawn story. Trying to pull an Andor or Mandolorian without the 50+ years of development that the context surrounding it would suck. Aloy goes on a journey of both discovery and heroism, they should stick to it to get audiences in
I love the Horizon franchise to pieces. And I would love for Horizon to be brought to live. But please please please no woke garbage. Just follow the game story line and it will be all good. Please...
Hopefully, it will be more balanced between the genders and ethnicities, and not such overloaded with female heros and characters, and that they keep the woken garbage away, Aloy suffers in FW.
This is easily a triple A title that doesn't need anything else.. if anything give us more DLC with new enemies, weapons an areas to explore im down for that.. but a TV show, multiplayer... nah we dont need that although the multiplayer sounds fun🤷
@@la_engineer completely agree! I really enjoyed the story so this playthrough I'm going on story mode so the game is super light I can just casually play
For the love of god stop using remaster and remake interchangeably jor, theure not the same thing, there's no way horizon zero dawn is getting a REMAKE, its barely aged a day
Theres no such thing as too much horizon although a horizon mmorpg is 100% not needed. There's such thing as too much monster hunter as horizon is 100% better than monster hunter(yeah the witcher series sucks)
It sounds like who's ever and charged with gorilla games about to end the company this direction always leads to the end of the publishing company because they go out of business. They lose too much money.
For horizon three I hope they let us make sleek Zenith style weapons and armor. I'm not saying I hate the whole primal thing but some diversity would be nice.
I hope they don't make the Multiplayer super cartoony like i see at 1:36 Idk if i could bring myself to play something so lame. Better keep the current type of stylized graphics.
so a horizon zd game can be sold as a remaster but not the last of us? The last of us came out in 2013, horizon came out in 2017. Talk about a double standard.
