Honestly, John Powell should be arrested for how unnecessarily good his scores are

People can say what ever they want about this movie, but this entire scene is spine chilling!! The power and desperation of a whole, small, seemingly insignificant society working to be heard by other worldly beings to save their lives is incredible

We should send this song into space to find extraterrestrial life.

I don't care if it's a kids movie this sound track makes me tear up it's so damn beautiful

I don't really think anyone could hate the last part of the movie. It's awesome and heartwarming. :)

There is so, so much passion in this track. It truly feels like a people determined to hold onto hope and be saved.

3:15 THE CHILLS

This entire track along side Jim Carrey's heart-felt "NOOOO" never fail to make me cry. I really like this movie a lot. It's funny, heavy drama, cute, just all of the above 😭

damn, this movie is 15 years old and it still sounds amazing

what i love about this scene is the mayor. he is giving it his all to save the world. you can tell by the expressions on his face that he doesn't want to die and that he is trying everything to not let his world be melted.

at 4:25 you can almost hear a cue from "how to train your dragon". Magnificent music by John Powell

That really short accordion bit at 1:50 is just awesome as heck, despite the fact it only lasts for about 2 seconds.

5:11 The shouting is so loud that it blows the clouds away and the sound waves are visible

3:19 is where Jojo unleashes the big noise wave from observatory

The instrument that starts at 3:20 is the symphonophone (the one jojo made) and it just sounds so graceful how it combines all those instruments

The mayor grabbed a tom-tom, started to smack it. And all over Who-Ville, they whooped up a racket. They rattled tin kettles, they beat on brass pans, On garbage pail tops, some old cranberry cans. They blew on bazookas and blasted great toots! On Zarmids, on Soombas, on Phoombas and flutes!

I love so much how it’s a choir singing loud WEEE AAAARE HEEEERE!! Beautiful, musical desperation

This song to me is especially prevelant nowadays, because it makes me think about all the stifled souls in the world; and how if we were all reminded of how special it is to be human, we would do something more with our lives.

This song and the scenes that go with it, will always be one of my favorite climax's ever!

That one small, extra Yopp put it over. And all the Whos' voices burst out of the clover.

BEST SONG EVER!!! I love listening to this whole sequence. John Powell is sooo good and all of his soundtracks are unique and interesting. LOVE him in Kung Fu Panda too.

The realization that this song is about a triumphant victory against the machinations of cosmic horrors is a very... Idek what the word is but it's amazing. The Whos are literally singing to save their world from forces they couldn't possibly fathom,. that's amazing. God bless this movie

4:33-5:04 This part has always been my absolute favorite of this song, because it really represents JoJo’s desperation because he’s basically going out on a limb. Because he know he’s got like ONE SHOT-one chance to see if his idea of yelling that one “Yop!” at the top of Whoville’s tallest building will be the one to break through the clouds in time so their world can be saved. And that yell ended up being the one to save them, and I think it’s really incredible to see how John Powell personified that in this portion of the song.

These guys knew how to do a climax; Anyone who doesn't feel something while listening to this is dead inside.

Im gonna miss blue sky this movie, robots and ice age had a big impact on me as a child and i will never forget what blue sky did for us. Rest in piece.

I just love John Powell! He's an amazing composer, and he is one of my favorite movie soundtrack composers! ❤ I love what he does with the brass in his pieces.

I admit when the movie first came out, I went to see it three maybe four times all because of the climax. The music, the visuals, and the fact that every Who would DIE if they failed which increased the tension - it was perfect. I thought the rest of the movie was okay but it always made it worth watching again and again just for this part alone.

We thought we'd never see a good Dr Seuss movie after Cat In The Hat 2003 but this came along and it turned out very well done and the idea of it being done by Bluesky and 20th Century Fox just gives it that huge amount of amazing! Cause this is like if this were in Ice Age it would be Manny, Diego and Sid being super heroes saving the world

Whatever you may think about the Doctor Seuss movies, they always have fantastic soundtracks!
