Francesca's story needs setup. If they do it right, she will be side/sub plot for the next two seasons. You WILL continue to love her, she's a sweet precious baby. Again, if they do it right. I think Benedict will be next, then Eloise, then Francesca.

Context on mama Featherington: In season 1 the husband died. In season 2 came a new lord Featherington that basically inherited that title, he claimed to be rich and to have mines in "the Americas" but it was a lie. At first Lady Featherington planned a scam with him but then he was in trouble because Colin found out and Lady Featherington told him to leave immediately and kept the money he made from the scam. In season 3 we can see that she made up the story about he leaving and the inheritance. Context on Colin and Pen: At the end of season 2, Pen heard Colin saying to other men that "he would never dream of courting her, not in his wildest dreams", because one of the men asked him if he was couting her because they were dancing.
