Learned a new technique for matching the brightness when you were using the pick colour tool. Thanks for taking us on a journey with you! It felt really good to see you talk about your work. It would be interesting to hear more from you Matt as the DP on how the VFX affected the shots during the gig, did you plan your lighting scheme or compose the shots differently than you would normally do because of the VFX in mind?
Great question! It honestly didn’t change too much. We had a brief before the shoot and Marc’s only notes were to take a 360 photo of each set up. It would have been a lot more difficult if the camera was moving 3 dimensionally but most of our camera moves were fairly basic.
