Today we are finally assembling the amazing Shakespearean model paper theatre that we bought at Benjamin Pollock's toy store in London. For those of you who do not know of the store, it is a very special toy store that has been selling toys for over 100 years. It is now located inn Covent Garden. It was challenging to assemble the paper theater, but we got there in the end. We really enjoyed assembling it, of course we had a few zen moments and also frustration. Enjoy your Sunday!

The theater is amazing! I love watching you two build it. It makes me smile and feel better about little me who would get these doll houses as gifts. They were so frustrating! I'd inevitably be too impatient to wait for help and rip something; bless my mom, she always fixed it. 💚

I am catching up on your videos as I was so busy I didn't have time to watch you guys or Kate. Watching this reminds me of a Lego kit I received as a gift. It was for ages 6 and up. I am 70. Once I started it I couldn't stop. But getting it started was the nightmare. I kept telling myself if a 6year old can do this surely I can do this. Needless to say it is finished and proudly on display. So I laughed along with you two doing this. So fun!

I love how you switch so quickly between sounding like you are completely frustrated trying to figure out how to punch out the pieces, then excited about how beautiful it looks, then sounding frustrated again when trying to put the pieces together, then figgling over the characters … it was an emotional roller coaster! 😂 Great job, guys! I can’t wait to see the production in Shakespearean English!

The weather in central California is getting cooler so I am not gardening as much. I am now spending more time on crafts. One of my sons bought himself (the bank owns 99%) his first home 4 months ago. It is a 2-bedroom house 26 feet x 36 feet (8 meters x 11 meters) and has a detached garage. It sits on a lot 55' x 120' (16.5M x 36M). He bought brown leather sofas, a 5 foot long and a 7 foot long, for his living room. I am knitting pillows for the sofas to give him for Christmas. I am knitting a cable pattern in one of them. This is the first time I have ever tried to knit cables! I was always afraid to try knitting them. They are easy to do if you have a cable stitch holder. I am looking forward to your podcasts, whether you are at home or on the road.

5 minutes in and I have to say this is bringing back so many memories for me - many years ago I went on a school trip to London to see a Midsummer's Night's Dream, and I bought one of these Pollocks theatre and spent many happy hours re-enacting the Shakespeare play!

Would love to see you produce the play 🤗 The language is challenging --- the ear has to become tuned to Shakespeare. It's ok if you don't exactly understand the words, few people do 😉😉 "Pretty Hippolyta, we will be married soon." The theatre is really beautiful.

I could help you with the play LOL. I taught some of the plays while I was a uni instructor. This one and "The Tempest" are my favourites. I don't much like the gorier ones, particularly 'Titus Andronicus". You have a beautiful art piece and I would love to see you act the parts!

Use a more limited version for my English classes.(when I was teaching). You certainly had more fun making this. I would use tape for the tabs.

This reminds me of my first year in art class, where we had to build a three foot balsa wood plane (which included gluing rice paper to the body and wings). It was my first time building something (girls back then weren't encouraged to build models). It was painful, but at least it flew. I love watching the two of you work this out together ❤️.

❤How charming! While it can be displayed at all times, I think it would be especially nice during the holidays, perhaps as a centerpiece on a table? Arne, you are a good stagehand, working the curtain, placing the actors. All pretty leftover bits would be nice on homemade greeting cards.❤
