We Ate at Biergarten Just For Schnitz and Giggles

The Biergarten is my first meal of any Disney World trip. I don't transition well from real world to vacation mode. The food, the giant bier, the ultra immersive atmosphere speeds me on my way to a great week.

The title! Just so good 🤣 I love that you guys seem to be having more fun making these videos! Makes them even more enjoyable to watch!

I don’t know if it’s my imagination, but the video looks a lot more crisp and the lighting a lot better than I’ve seen in past. Updated camera? Anyway, looked really good. And the Biergarten is my favorite restaurant in Epcot.

In my mind Craig is 100% Pennsylvania Dutch, grew up speaking it, still speaks it, but is just coy about it.

We went there last year with our five kids. They all loved it. Our younger kids had so much fun dancing and everyone found stuff they liked.

The title alone should get this video a ton of thumbs up. We've always wanted to try eating here for atmosphere alone, but it's hard to justify an all you can enjoy meal during a festival. Also, thank you for reviewing the drinks!!

Ryno, I totally agree and say the same thing all the time: my favorite indoor environments are when there is an outside setting but inside! Another great review everybody!

We go there every trip! My 6 and 3 year old love it!!!! And a liter of beer in air conditioning…heck yes!

I’ve eaten there during the Christmas holiday and hearing that band play Christmas music is magical! The food was really good that time too

I am not a "buffet person" but was very pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this place. The atmoshphere and band are terrific ... and at Christmas time it's fully decorated and the band plays Christmas carols.

I like that the buffet is a sunk in cold table for cold stuff. Because of that, the buffet can look empty, but its not. Ryno was spot-on with his review and take on the buffet. The food is perfect for a wide variety of diners. Just be open minded and try everything. Pretzel Rolls forever!!!!! There is so much variety that you will find something you love. I find the desserts a bit lacking but I usually have little room for them after eating, so not too disappointed. It's a buffet so sometimes I start with them! I do like meeting and talking with people when you are put at a group table but this can put people off. If you just go with it you can make some great memories. Once we sat with a grandmother who had slipped out of her hotel early without telling anyone to get away from her large family group and get some alone time. I was worried a bit at first but she was very sharp and hilarious to talk to. A very memorable lunch. The price tag may seem a little high but I still think it's a good value for what you get. Thanks for this review. This place has never been on my radar but seems like a good option. I also appreciate talking about the alcoholic drink options. I know that has been something you were not really allowed to do. Adults on vacation sometimes like to have an adult beverage so like that the choices are being discussed finally

Love the review and glad you enjoyed it here. Many years ago we ate there with picky elementary age kids and they enjoyed it. Not sure why but they seemed more willing to step outside there comfort zone here. We were last there in 2021 and had a great experience.

We've only eaten here once, but it was during the Christmas season, so it was fully decorated and absolutely beautiful. We were seated right next to the water wheel, which my kids got a huge kick out of, and we all loved the food and the oompah band!

I love this place. I wouldn't say that it is where I've had the best meals at Disney, but it has always been good. I also agree with Craig about the sauerbraten.

Biergarten had by curiosity but now it has my attention!

My grandkids were eight and 11 years old when we went last year in May. We ate there. They tore up the chicken and the meatballs. And of course the macaroni and cheese.😂😂😂

Really enjoyed this review. This was the only restaurant available for the CP dining pkg and I was very reluctant to grab this. I feel much better after watching this😊

We liked it celebrated my husband 60th with our family good food and entertainment. We even danced. So fun

My picky 14 year old granddaughter loved loved loved the pretzel buns. At the end of the meal, our server brought a bag of rolls for her to take home with her. I grew up in a Swiss town in southern Wisconsin and we hear this kind of music in the summertime all around town. The alphorn horns reminded me so much of my Swiss roots--those horns are hard to play as well. We ate there in Aug of 2021 when it wasn't a buffet (pandemic time) and it was just a wonderful meal. I have been there twice now and when we go back next December, we will eat there again.

This review makes me mad we haven't gone here. All looks good and lots of choices which is good for my picky family!

We ate here 2 years ago. We had a great time and enjoyed the food. Our daughter was four at the time and she loved the music and atmosphere. I will say it was quit expensive in my opinion.

We ate there during Covid when they brought platters to your table. It was so good! Not your typical Disney food!

I'm with you on the white Bavarian sausage, Craig. Last time I was in Germany, we went to a Bavarian restaurant (conveniently next door to the hotel) and my friends insisted I try the signature sausage. Most unappetizing thing I have ever tried in my life. Yick.

My favorite spot in all of WDW.

My kids always enjoyed the food on the regular buffet at restaurants, even as toddlers. They got sick of the quick service kids meal choices so the last thing they wanted was more of the same food. I agree that adults should always take a peak at the child selections because there can be hidden gems.

Hilarious title!!!!

I heard that they have a pretzel bread pudding that is delicious in Germany. That’s one that I might try if I ever get back to Disney.

I’ve never bothered to go here being German myself but this looks amazing. I think this is a must try and it looks delicious. I must say if it is actually imported Beck’s it is worth getting. The stuff in the grocery stores is not authentic.

Pfiartie (Goodbye) wondering if some Schnitzel would be in L.A. sadly Schatzi on Main from Arnie Arnold Schwarzenegger had to close so long time ago due to it became less Quality and such but there they had great Austrian (German) Food Schnitzels Strudels Bratwürste (Sausages). Near WB Studios some strange Wiener Restaurant but that´s the funny US misunderstanding since you calling sausages that and those Restaurant didn´t understand that Wiener Schnitzel has nothing to do with Sausage since it is the famous Viennese Schnitzel hammered piglet or chicken meat. That was floured egged and bannered and fried.

No Craig that was really good believe me you should try it more often believe me I am Austrian neighbour of Germany nice believe that don´t underestimating it. Thanks for doing Servus oans zwoa gsuffa (one two cheers). 😉😁 yeah those applestroodle thing they maybe had on Food and Wine as well last Year that was not really good not as a German or better in Austrian one so was disappointed on that last Year. is it always hard getting a Reservation unfortunately didn´t could catch one last Year hope I will in 6 yrs. Also hope the grapefruit one is better than the pineapple Shandy was last year thought it would taste more like pineapple but wasn´t really much flavored that way.

Do they still make you sit at community tables with strangers? My husband and I got seated at a table for eight. The other six people at our table were together. They talked to each other but not to us. It didn't feel very festive and it wasn't great for us introverts. We liked the food though. The next time we visited, we took the kids and grandparents with us, so our family took up the whole table. 😂

I just remembered walking in there once in 2007 with my parents and it smelled AWFUL. We didn't eat there because I was nauseous from the smell, so bad

The food there is meh. The atmosphere and the band were great. I would do it again just for that. Hopefully the food will be better next time for us.

That German was spot on Craig! I feel like you can appreciate the Epcot pavilions the most if you actually been to these places. It is crazy how good they manage to replicate the ambiance of those places, like Japan and especially Germany. UK and France might be a bit over-romanticized, but still, the essence of the country is there.

Is it domestics Becks or the OG German Becks?
