I have a few friends who are firefighters, one of them went through a cancer scare recently (thankfully he's fine healthy and doing well) so this is really close to my heart. I give all total respect to firefighters! I lost my house to a house fire two days after Christmas this year. You never know the feeling until you go through it.. losing everything from sentimental memories to valueable things. I don’t wish it on anyone. Walking through a burnt house just is the awfullest thing. Kudos to first responders they really do amazing work 🤍

As a volunteer firefighter myself, being in a small town when we get calls it’s kind of hard not to see or run into someone you know but we have to stay focused because someone’s life could be at stake. Thank you for spreading awareness.

It takes years of study in Fire Science and EMT to be fire fighters. It's a tough job and we all appreciate the devotion for those who run into danger.

One thing I took away from this video is that Dallin would make a great firefighter if that's what he wants to pursue in the future. He really seemed like he knew what he was talking about

I recently joined as a volunteer fire fighter in a very small community. It's amazing to see how much hard work goes into it, physically and mentally. I have such a huge amount of respect for the fire fighters and first responders who have been doing it for many years. The things they have pushed through to save the lives of complete strangers !!!. My father died of pancreatic cancer as well, so this video really was beautiful to watch

As a kid who has had their house catch on fire is absolutely is terrifying to me and I a, traumatized. I would never wish what I had to go through on anyone. It hurts a lot to see the home I grew up in be destroyed. I love firefighters sooo much now❤❤❤

Last I checked the average amount of water needed to extinguish a house fire is over 2000 gallons. It needs to be fresh water as well. Salt water carodess the hose like a battery that has been left alone for a few years. Also, the temperature inside of a house fire can be over 150 degrees fahrenheit.

Im sure they meant no disrespect and they wouldnt have been able to show it without permission either. You can tell its nerves. Such an amazing cause for you to bring awareness to and to show the amazing work the firefighters do 🚒 . Just got to the end of the video and i think its amazing and shows great awareness. Great video showcasing this! Overall, there are a few overlooks which I would expect from this type of content. It is generally overlooked by people who are not firefighters nor have been around firefighting at all that the fire helmets have meaning. The helmets directly relate to the rank or the ranking group of a particular firefighter. Yellow typically means probationary or lower stages of firefighting, like you're still in your basic phases. Black means firefighter and everyone who is not a "station commander" or supervisor. Red means someone who is a supervisor only used in bigger departments. White means station commander or chief. This is really varied by department as well. Another small inaccuracy is that house fires (residential structure fires) are way less common than medical calls for pretty much any department anywhere. Other than that, this portrayal of being a firefighter for a day is pretty accurate. Firefighters actually spend most of their time hanging out in the dayroom or fixing stuff depending on the day, it really is pretty boring job when it comes down to it. Firefighters hope for that though because it gives them more time to relax and do what they need to do. I have run only 2 calls with my local department and both of them were really mediocre. I am not sure how, but I have enough space to express this.
