We Biked Through Germany's Most Beautiful Forest. Linderhof Palace, Oberammergau, Ettal Abbey

Biking through a Bavarian forest. Grab a beer at an epic monastery. Get back on the bike and go to a beautiful Schloss. And then sharing it with the world. What a great video guys. Well paced; great info; amusing moments (“I forgot it was Sunday!”); and epic views. Looking forward to the next one! Now…to get on my bike and get back into shape so I can follow in your tire marks! 😂

Don't worry, I am a palace person as well, and it is not that bad. Although I don't like the rich ... mainly because I am not rich myself... they do have a sense of beauty, at least one thing the aristocracy and I have in common. That is why I like Ludwig 1, as he was building for the nation and not only for himself, like the Befreiungshalle in Kehlheim for example. I absolutely liked this vid because it had everything in it that makes Bavaria Bavarian: lovely wildlife, good beer, a King's castle and a great church. I really liked that you tried to show the inside of the church this time. You can't really calll me a beliver in the Carholic Version of Christianity either, but the beauty of these places is just unmatched and for centuries the almost heathen way in which the people lived their Christian believes in Bavaria defined Bavarian culture, for example instead of praying to the Great Mother Godess praying to Mary in the same way. I totally agree with you that Linderhof is the niest of Ludwig's palaces. I especially like the grounds with all the tiny castlelike houses dotted around like the grotto. But I have to disagree with you on Neuschwanstein, it is NOT a castle, it is a palace. And if you ask me, in my eyes it is nothing more than Ludwig's propaganda Tool or in other words Ludwig's own little way of sticking his two fingers up at the Kaiser in Berlin. Now that you are a new Born palace person 😅, one palce that really impressed me, is the tiny palace in Neuburg an der Donau. Perhaps you like it too. Thanks again for that wonderful vid. I really like about you two that you like the little things, like the rainbow a fountain makes, and that you give them a stage. This is really refreshing and is very likeable.

But didn’t you visit the Venusgrotte (Venus Grotto), the Moroccanisches Haus (Moroccan House), the Maurischen Kiosk (Moorish Kiosk) and the Hundinghütte (Hunding’s Hut) in Linderhof Park? I wish you continued success with your great channel!

My standard day tour - yes by car!!! Munich -> Andechs Monastery/Brewery -> Hohenschwangau + Neuschwanstein Castles (just bus to Marienbrücke & walk down - no tour) -> Füssen Castle ->, Reutte (Austria) to buy snacks for picnic .... 180° turn back up to spectacular Plansee for swim/picnic -> Linderhof Castle -> Oberammergau for bit of Kitsch -> Ettal Monastery for beer -> past Garmisch Partenkirchen to autobahn back to Munich. Exhausting.

Gosh I so wanna walk through this. I’m an Oregonian, the German outdoors look eerily similar to what we have here 😂 Minus the public transportation and castles plus history. I can’t wait to be there !

Thanks for the trip through my happy place. Linderhof is also my favorite of Ludwig's palaces and have visited it a number of times (hopefully the grotto will reopen soon so you'll need to plan a return trip). Having been fortunate to live in Oberammergau (dependent kid of a US Military father), this area has special meaning and seeing it through your lens just puts a smile on my face.

Awesome video. Ebikes make it much more manageable. Ettal Abbey is a hidden gem. Linderhof will def get you to become a palace person!

You need to visit Baden Wurttemberg too! Heidelberg, Stuttgart, Freiburg or even better !!!!! ->>>>> „Schwarzwald“. Also Rothenburg ob der Tauber or Füssen in Bavaria, maybe Regensburg too.

Great content. Far from the touristic spots. As a Bavarian I really enjoy all this nature, hiking everywhere, lakes, mountains, scenery, biking... Oh, yes: the beergardens, the food, beer, wine and currently is Federweisser season. It´s grape juice on it´s way to wine and it´s sparkling naturally.

Great biking vid. The most boring part of the scenery was still pretty beautiful. LOL I loved the slow reveal of the mass in the monastery. I’m in the market for an eBike and glad to see you guys riding them. How did you like it?

what kind of camera are you using?

How far do you get on the bike battery? About 35-40km? Or do you turn off the "e" or r they extended batteries? You seem to get some long distances or maybe it's the editing 😉
