But in reality we know that this swap isn't about the end result, it's just RU-vid content to get views and gain subs. I'm not criticizing Westin, just saying that's how all the successful RU-vidrs have done it.
Damn dude. A running, driving 12 valve that isn't a pile of rust for $1500. That is the steal of the century. Could easily bring that out to Denver and flip it for 5k as is. Love the content man, keep up the good work.

That has happened with me. Drove 5 hours to pick up an old square body Chevy bog truck with new 38" Boggers. PO said the turbo 350 was burnt up. Winched it on the trailer, drove home, added 5 quarts to it and it worked perfectly. Took the lift, rim/tires, other things and put on my Chevy. I sold the truck for $2000, which was twice what I paid for it. hahaha
I think you should keep it whole if I’m honest. That thing is in fantastic condition for the price you got it. I didn’t see any rust from the video, and the thing didn’t look like it was beat to shit. I think you should clean it up and use it as a daily since it’s a single cab. We can’t find a 12valve in OKC for less than 12k for that kind of condition. I didn’t see whether it was 4wd, I forgot if you said either. Edit: also don’t lower it or put low pro tires or those terrible Concrete Crawler wheels on it. That thing is gorgeous for the age, just clean it up a bit and it’ll be perfect.
I think by the time you butcher up the Mustang to get that engine to work in it you'll have a stupid looking clown car that has been a wasted effort. Personally , I'd like to see the other Mustang finished and this truck and/or engine put to better use . Just sayin.................
Rob T Ledgard I’d say just sell the EcoBoost and buy an old Cummins with the money you get from that. The truck he bought in this video was fantastic for the price and age. Those ECO Boost motors are pieces of shit, and replacing a Cummins with an ECO Boost is heresy.
John Ready yeah I’m not really gonna think the “CumStang” is gonna work out as we might think. The truck he bought in this vehicle is in fantastic shape for the age and price. I think he just needs to restore it and use it as a daily driver.
You have the same exact engine I used in my cummins swap. I put a 95 12 valve from an automatic with 190,000 miles into my suburban. Same engine. Same mileage.
Out of all the people I subscribe to. Westens Channel is pretty much the only one, where I watch the full video. He needs and deserves way more subscribers

Upstate new York here covered in rust jacked up and not in a good way, with a tuner and a straight pipe you're looking at 6-9k for 300k plus miles. 200k miles? Wont find one less than 10k lol
@@Ryan-fy3ww might be a UK thing then...to buy you would ask for "transmission fluid" but because transmission fluid is oil ive always asked for transmission oil and always got what I needed.
No tranny fluid....reminds me of the time I bought a 1988 Oldsmobile 88. The neighbor I bought it from said the engine was shot and offered the vehicle to me for $600. I took a chance and made the purchase. Got the car into my garage, charged the battery. It would not start. Then I noticed the gas gauge said empty. So I put 2-3 gallons of gas into the car and it fired up. I drove it for three years without doing a thing to the car except for regular maintenance (oil, filters, belts, etc). So what you say about checking the easy things first on a vehicle is absolutely true. After driving for a couple years, I sold the car and made 5x the money I put into it.
This is gonna be great. I can’t wait to watch it happen. I recently subscribed and I can’t get enough. Really enjoyed the f350 Cummins swap now this mustang hell yeah!!
