Would I buy a saltwater flood car and drive it home over 600 miles? No! You are the man for trying this! The car looks great but it would probably a nightmare getting it to pass a Georgia salvage inspection. South Carolina is no problem. You can license and drive it on a salvage title in SC.

I've bought and drove cars home without even seeing pics before and were much much older, so I'd definitely take a chance lol... I'm sure there's some money to be made, but 18k was more than I'd pay even needing nothing. No way I'd mess with a salt water flood car.

Love this one, it looks great inside, too bad about the front bumper but if that is all that is wrong with it you got a low mile pony. Nice wheels too and that premium pearl, yeah this is a good deal for 20 - 21k (incl. new bumper, copart fees, fuel to get it home and spraying the bumper).

One wonders why people don't evacuate their cars especially the super car owners? There was plenty of time to move some of these cars to safety. We can all expect our insurance premiums to go up as a result of this castistrophic loss. Here in California with all the forest fires everyone's insurance premiums are going up! We are all effected by these catastrophes in one way or another. The Mustang was a very exceptional catch. Glad you got home without any issues! To take on restoring any of those Bentleys or Ferraris would be an expensive proposition. Best leave that to others

My uncle did this with a Corvette damaged by Hurricane Sandy..He was working on that thing for years, it was completely trashed. I've since moved away, but I've never seen it even close to running. I'd never do this tbh, but good luck to you man!

Cool vid, it is crazy what how many vehicles and stuff got flood damage. Nice looking GT...I'd be hosing that thing down with Salt-Away many, many times. Great stuff for cleaning off salt and corrosives off cars, boats, outboard engines, etc.

Flood salvage title history would make it kinda hard to sell to someone , most people would backout. I remember trying working with a car lot that was trying to sell a clean title vehicle with high miles and people were so afraid to buy it. It was ridiculous

I used to work for Manheim and we sold salvage title vehicles. As long as your buying to sell immediately you will be ok and it will be someone else's problem. This car will end up being an electrical nightmare in a few months when the water that seeped under and inside the wire insulation starts to corrode.

I would be going over to jiffy lube and getting a oil change and transmission service and a rear diff service before I make the trip. Why would you spend the money on a jack and jack stands and mess around with it when you can just bring it to a oil change place. And while it's up in the air you might be able to get a glimpse of what's going on underneath it.

I use IAAI alot and the over seas bidders are frustrating sometimes! Their shipping fees are pretty reasonable, but when buying a flood car it's definitely worth it to look over the car in person. Super sweet Mustang though with little work to be done.

But WAS it water damaged? Does it smell inside the car? Did water get IN to interior - did you show us the interior omg so many questions!!!

Salt water will definitely cause problems in wiring and censors in the future ! Sell it quick lol

Insurance inspector usually marks where water line was on outside of vehicle somewhere that is obvious. I didn't see a water line mark. If salt water was the cause of the flooding on that car it won't be long until that thing starts having all kinds of electrical problems and stopped running.

This is how they "clean the titles" from those disaster flood cars. Make sure you do a full check into the car history and make sure it has never been in a salt water flood. It is fun when they run for an hour at a time, but that is rare. Stay away from them. These guys have nothing but time and money to play with junk but I have to get to work and buy groceries and other REAL things. I enjoy the content but people need to know the risks of buying anything that has ever been to the "swamp state".

That's a sharp 5.0. I Iive is Alabama -Do you buy salvage cars from individuals, because I have a 2001 Lincoln Continental with the 8 cycle 4.6 liter engine with only 127,000 miles and was only salvage because someone backed into the doors on the passenger side?

I think it would have been more interesting watching the car get loaded & damage on the trailer , than watching you wash it, & why didn't you check the underside before you bought it?
