Wow Matt & Mike, ITG has really moved up......first hauling parts in your pickup, then a small trailer, then an enclosed trailer. But now ITG has a tractor-trailer rig to haul parts in!! Talk about expanding the business! 😃
Rusty old Ford Model A pick up roadster, the quintessential Texas field art piece..A classic Norman Rockwell painting, if you will..Like removing the Mona Lisa, from the Louvre Art Museum in Paris, France...
I was crossing my fingers to the end of the video to make sure you grabbed that go-kart. 🙂 The two cars look great, and I can't wait for the followup video to see what else is in this find.
free reign auto salvage sounds like an awesome deal to me! the only things left would be what i couldn't tetris into the trailer. pack the cars full, and load them first, then fill the space above and in between them from the front to the doors. what a nice crimmas present they gave you.
Man .. iam so jealous.. u guys get so much cool shit.. but also work yer ass off to get it too. So cool to see Mike out there busting but .. I hope you get on his build soon.. what a swet model A car.
I hope that you could get that lawn mower. It was a case garden tractor. It had the 3 point hitch on it. It could be used for a lot of things. It is worth getting if you could. But you got a lot of great things. Glad you could save them.
Seeing that Model A Roadster pickup reminds me of the beginning of the movie Tobacco Road from 1941. Its available on YT and a hoot to watch. Ove seeing treasure hunts like this one.
Matt & Mike, WOW, you guy's never cease to amaze!! It also looks like you & your crew have added another business category to your mission statement! I have to admit, what is so sad is it looks like no one has worked in those buildings for years!! Y'all be safe!! God Bless!!!!
Aside from my love for vintage hot rods and customs I also love old advertising especially local stuff to me. And especially lighted clocks. That Royal Crown clock is awesome and I'm glad you brought it home
Wow, what a great collection of cool old parts that will now find themselves on running hot rods instead of crushed into a cube for scrap. Good job Matt and gang. Merry Christmas
I don't know how long this went on but the Sears Robuck catalog had all the parts for module "A" and "T" fords. You could order them all and build one of them from scratch. This would still be a business idea that would work. Manufacture all the parts and offer them for restoration or an entire build.
Amazed that there are still so many parts for Model A's around, I did a Google search. From '27 to '32 Ford produced 5 million Model A's. Amazing. 19:59 You guys have to do something with those horns, even if it's just hang them on the wall of your shop.
I am so happy that you guys are there to save all those parts. I also must admit I get a little jealous that you guys get to save all those parts. Merry Christmas
Matt and Mike , you are making a name for yourselves as the go to guys for estate clearances with old cars and parts. Surprised Richard Rawlings didn't know about it being as it's in Texas. Wishing everyone a safe and happy Christmas and New year .
Next time on Iron Trap Garage, Matt and Mike do the Bandit run (complete with the "now run up to New England for some clam chowder" ending) with Matt hauling the semi full of classic Coors cans and Matt running interference in a Hot rod Model A with a 455 Firebird engine.😄
I'm so glad that you were there to sort through this maze and get these parts "back in circulation" rather than getting scrapped. You've done a great service for builders all over the country and preserved history.
Texas is a good place to find old iron , theirs a road from Huntsville to that splits north east and runs to Trinity then to Crocker Tx , it’s SH 19 , In the distance of travel one day. I notice 2 large fields of old cars , some posted signs but they have an entrance at both locations . I Estimate both locations had over 300 cars each on a sizable piece of land . I google earthed so you can somewhat see the location from above , between trinity and Crockett on SH 19 . Maybe selling something , you might call a local hot toddler in the area if they can fill in any details That is if it’s not their private honey hole . A lot of oil families in these parts , cars were bought and not sold very often , just put on the pasture .
You've got a great eye for retrieving and conserving these great items of American automotive history. Good work! These things will skyrocket in value in the coming years.
GOLDEN FIND! Tons of excellent, perfectly shitty stuff and that coupe looks like it is in really awesome condition. Be safe, stay healthy and a very Merry Christmas to all of the ITG crew!
Merry Christmas Matt. Would be nice to buck trend and make the coupe a hi'boy with cowl sides. I love the rad lowrider stuff too. Clean the dust out of the transmission and motor of the clock. Lubricate, plug it in and manually push the minute hand. Those synchron 1rpm motors are robust.
The roadster pickup a friend of our used to take the cowls and make woodies he bought one long ago took it apart for a pattern I have no idea how many he made in his life time .
