Used to work for Nissan North America HQ in Tennessee . You wouldn't believe all the odd ball merch they had for sale. 2 strangest I can remember... A Nissan branded 3.5 floppy disc that opened up to be a keyboard brush Nissan branded chopping board. And yes... We had both of them 🤣😂

Back in the early 2000s, Volkswagen wanted to advertise the sound systems on their Golf lineup. So they made a deal with First Act Guitars to make a Volkswagen themed guitar that you received when purchasing a VW Golf at some dealers. They had ads featuring Slash and John Mayer. They are actually pretty decent guitars.

Actually had a dude try out for one of my old bands playing a First Act once, and thinking back on it, his issues may not have been with the guitar lol Really, if you like the way it plays and sounds, who cares what brand it is, shred it! :)

Worst purchase I ever made was a pipe insert for a Zippo lighter and I learned the reason why you _never_ use a Zippo to spark up anything bigger than a cigarette: Drawing only results in a mouthful of gasoline vapor. Surprised that not many car companies ever capitalize on that fact when it comes to smoking merch.

Years ago when I bought a Jeep they threw in a set of luggage, a carry on bag and a suitcase. The luggage is actually really nice and I use the carry on all the time. The Jeep however has been long gone for many years 😅.

My grandmother had a full set of late 70s ford dinnerware and silverware, some of it even had part numbers for reordering. My grandfather worked for the Romeoville plant at the time. It was as bland as you would expect for company merch from Ford of that era. She got rid of most of it but i have the silverware and some plates.

I had one of those Sevylor Fuji inflatable kayaks. Funny thing is, it was for an Ice Mountain bottled water promo. Exactly where the VW was, they replaced that piece with one that has the Ice Mountain logo.

Something to consider, when I removed the wings to replace the outriggers and sill rails I had to cut the bolts that held the sill rail to the bulkhead as they were so rusty. So definitely grab yourself some new bolts for that and maybe worth just doing the Sill rails at the same time. You can grab a pair of galvanised ones for about £100.
