Yes we are back in the BMW where we belong, but this time introducing our new daily work wagon, and probably the highest mileage BMW 525d in the UK! 😎🙈
My 5 series 520d from 2014 has 217k and nothing major replacement on it, except intake manifold £600 fro bmw , no timing chain replacement, still driving like new 🤩
@@HighMiler330d yours is probably M57 engine which is bulletproof no matter the mileage, just things around the engines die such as turbos, waterpump etc
Enjoy the ring Mark, great place and the 525d will have no probs round there. I took a 200k mile E36 328sport there a few years ago and cained it round for 3days and it never missed a beat. BMW's are born and bread around the green hell👍
I loved my 520d mark. Initially a company car then I bought it back at the end and ran it for another few years. Sold it with 160k on the clock never missed a beat. All the toys total cruiser. Should look well lowered can’t wait to see what you do with it ….. no spoiler this time please ;-)
I picked one up for 5k with 178k paddle shift steering wheel upgraded android headunit with all the bells and whistles, 20" m sport alloys, tints all round. Pleased with it so far. I lost so much money on my last bmw due to it needing a new fuel system so had to sell it as a non runner. In the time i owned that x6 40d it worked out as £700 a month for me. Im hoping to get 2 years use at least out of my F11
I've owned my 2013 530d for about 4.5 years and it has just over 200k on it now and still drives beautifully. Only reason i have to stop driving it is the London ulez expansion 😢 otherwise I'd keep it till it breathes it's last. Amazing car.
2012 f11 530xd , bought with 28000km last year , all filters and oils changed, after 6 months of driving the transmission case had to be changed, a put in a refurbished one. (Price of a new is 3800eur, price of a refurbished with warranty 1100eur) Now I have troubles with the air intake manifold-oil leakage from the sealing.. (New 1200eur + work 800eur) . Otherwise the car runs good , ideal for long distances.
I just got a 520d from 2013 with 150k. It’s a N47 too. I hope too keep it for around 10 years, so it would be nice if I could do at least more 150k 😋 it’s a gorgeous car, a pleasure to drive! What N47 did you had?
@ Do you still got your car ? I spending hours every day to look for a 5 - series F10 or F11. But i always get scared of the milage on them. Maybe i should not concern that much about the milage ?

Hi, I still have the car. Yes, you shouldn’t be afraid of the mileage. If you can, get access to the cars history. Otherwise, just see if it looks well cared, I use to say that if the interior looks in great condition, it is a good sign that the car was well kept.
I own a 3 serie 320D M47 with 300k miles on the clock. Owned from 150k miles, broken front springs, changed all suspension after that, changed real bearings, changed twice flywheel and clutch kit; original gearbox and differential, timing chain unchanged, front pulley broke couple of hundred of of miles ago. Normal change of disk and brake pads, other maintenance fluids changed when required. I pure work horse for me. I will never sell. Willing to swap engine when necessary. BMW STOPS making good engines like those back in 2005-2006..
I have a 525D Touring with 170k and zero problems. It's the best family car I've owned to date and In my opinion it is the most beautiful 5 series made to date
Highest mileage? To me that doesn't even seem very high. There's regularly these with more than 250k miles (400k km) on the clock for sale here in Finland.
That mileage is nothing... In Germany and Switzerland people do 40000miles per year... 10 year old car, thats 400k miles and its completely normal...And cars are immaculate... If they are serviced regularly they can last shit ton of miles...
Click-bait! 178k miles or 280k kilometers is definitely not the highest mileage. Far from it. That is like average on Easter Europe roads where 5 series like these are usually closer to 400k kilometers or 250k miles side.
