WE BROKE DOWN! 

Something like Top gear with these 3 would be completely amazing. They have the chemistry, they have someone to pick on (Trott), they have someone to yell controversial opinions for the sake of it (Smith), and they have someone with the best "please work face" in the business (Ross), they are loud and have the banter, and best of all they are often ambitious and rubbish. All they need to do is ballgag Turps and force him into a white racing suit. Please, make it a thing guys!

I fear for them every time they get into that coffin.

Some friendly advices on how to take care of your Trabi: 1) Never use the engine break longer than a few seconds. The lack of fuel while engine braking can damage the engine, since it's getting the lubrication from the fuel. Use the breaks for slowing down. The 4th gear has a freewheel, so you can coast in 4th. 2) Never ever leave your foot on the clutch while waiting at a red light, always put it in neutral and lift your foot from the clutch pedal. The clutch bearing is not a bearing in this car, it's a ring-shaped piece made out of graphite, which can burn very easily. Not to mention that the constant force from the clutch can damage the crankshaft bearings too. 3) Use the choke only when you start a cold engine. Pull the choke lever fully when cold starting, after the engine started, push back the choke immediately to about halfway, and push it further gradually as the engine gets warmer. 4) You don't need to pump the gas pedal when you try to restart, since the carburetor has no acceleration pumps (membranes). Push the pedal halfway and leave it there. Btw, if the carb is set correctly, it should start easily without choke or gas pedal pushing when warm. 5) It's 2 stroke, it only has some power when you give it some RPM. Don't be afraid to give it a bit more revs when starting, even if it sounds too loud. 6) (From 5:) If it stalls so many times on itself while idling and not because you stall it at starting from a lamp, then I think the carb is not set correctly. 7) The correct mixture of oil/fuel is 1:50. You can use 1:40, but no richer, because it'll make a lot of smoke. Never put less oil in, because it'll damage the engine. 8) Don't use the bumpers as handles when lifting the car, because it's not strong enough for that, you'll rip it off if you continue that. 9) Fuel tap: DOWN = Open, RIGHT = Closed, LEFT = Reserve.

Boys these old cars need to warm up. Rev it to about 1500 rpm for a good 2 mins after you start it to get the intake manifold warm enough and then she should purr. Also, get that seat belt fixed, you've just given proof the car is unroadworthy.

I rented and drove a Trabant in Hungry, it was hot pink with Hello Kitty stickers all over. Driving it was one of the most funny / certain death experiences ever. The engine cutting out while pulling out on a busy roundabout was memorable...

Aw man, that thing looks terrifying to drive, haha, I'm surprised Ross even managed to talk while he was driving that thing! This was so hilarious! I've been loving the content so far, but I'm still excited for everything else they have planned! I really wish I could go to MCM, especially with the Star Trek theme, gah, that sounds so awesome!
