Love how you’ve nodded the M3, Devin. Keeping it clean was definitely the right move. Check out wettm3’s channel. His car did the exact same thing. First it was Throttle body actuators then his alternator went out. Hope this helps!

Those P3 gauges are super sick and so clean looking!! I see a lot of guys in the UK using them but hardly anyone in the states. They look much cleaner than pods In my opinion.

BMW needs the supercharger pulley swap. More boost!!! It has to be more fun to drive than the frs with the money you spent on that supercharger. Just my thoughts. Keep up the great work.

I think a pop of color would look sick on the valve covers. I’ve been looking at getting a p3 ethanol specific gauge for my fiesta st but just haven’t pulled the trigger yet

You should have replaced all the bolts from the valve cover, because what control the pressure on the valve cover is the rubbers that you see on the bolts, and when they get hold, they start to not compress properly the gasket. BMW says to always replace the bolts, and they are not that expensive.

Love how you are documenting this build. I also have an alpine e92 m3, but my 650 kit in the trunk :) . Just waiting until I have time to install it. Looking forward to when you start adding ethanol, I'm hoping to do the same.

Plate is sticking, Defective return spring, DVE electrical activation defective, DVE motor wiring may have shorted, Throttle valve is contaminated with foreign objects. Maybe this helps? :)

Devin, a free advice that could save you buying new actuator(s), since you're getting a linkage fault, I'd say your evac/vacuum 1" line is touching the throttle linkage causing the dme to trigger a fault... I have same VF650 kit, and I know that you need to cable tie that 1" vacuum hose in 3 different places, left, right and center away from the linkages on either side/bank... If this turned out to be your issue... Then send me some beer money 💵 🍻 lol 😂 👍

Looks good, great color choice. I usually use little amount of reinz sealant (its like rtv) between covers and gaskets on all my cars, makes the installation way easier. It can even seal old covers or pans with little bents on it. Btw, your insurance is a great solution, wish I had same option in my country..

You should go and buy some sort of long handled metal strainer and scoop that nasty shit off the top of that chemical submerge tank! Atleast that’s what I’d do 🤷🏻‍♂️ I’m a lil OCD lol

If you cycle the start(let it crank but don't start it) 7-9 times it will find the part of the throttle actuator gear that isn't worn out and it should run a lot better enough to drive it normal or limp it home. If it isn't the throttle actuators then this would be a cause of low voltage from your battery.

I think that is not a coating inside the valve covers, it is oil sludge! You should probably give the engine a good cleaning inside to get this shit outa there. It is a common problem on Saabs from late 90s into the 2000s (Saab 9-3 OG and early Saab 9-5) if the oil change interval is too long. It looks like this what you found in your valve covers. It can clog oil channels inside the engine and the oil suction pipe from the sump to the oil pump. If this happens, the engine will quickly die the death of "no lubrucation"...

I think ecstuning has new OEM throttle actuators with lifetime warranty if it is ever defective, I have my pre cat o2 sensors from them

Pick up some 3M Super 77 is a multipurpose spray adhesive they have it at home depot. Spray some on any gasket even the valvecover gasket and it will help bond it.

I had the same code, cleared it until it wouldn't go away, bought new throt. acts. and cleared again. Never had the issue again. I'm about to do the WPC bearings since BE is almost never in stock, wish I had the charger though. I'd like to turbo it but I just want to know how gintani squeezed them down there lol

That's cool. I was just wondering the difference between psi and bar boost. Did not start a RU-vid channel today because I could not compete. You youtubers have more than one car. #thestruggle I would skim that tank btw. You just made friends with a strainer.
