@RealDivision defense when away or offline. If offline, it at least alerts others in the area who will 3rd party and screw with raiders. I'll hide claymores around base and have clackers in a yellow protective case on that side for ease of ID. If I rebuff raiders, I first replace traps, then loot. Strip corpses onto the ground to prevent restart losses. Grab offensive gear and salvageable armor. Dump inside. And set remote traps. Tripwires w/o attachments are great at locations people peek from. A stumble at the right moment and... It's giggle-time. I also bury rekits around area in case I get sent to coast. Has happened, rpg barrage on base from every direction ... 🤔 Location was poor for looting up for retake of active raiders. But hidden shed, bunker under a bridge, or buried bag or chest means "Surprise!MF'rs!" 😁 Sometimes half of use won't use bags on first death, so we can resupply and hit them from behind. Bruces stole helo and supply cars from last raiders and ransomed them back. 😆 Raiders left quietly. I doubled mines and traps after reset because I knew they'd offline in revenge. They pulled up in same creek with armored vehicle again and hit gas and stun combos. And two claymore tripwires. Never saw that clan again that wipe. 20 days left too.) They popcorned and shot up all their gear so no one would raid them too. I always check for them on mostly vanilla before picking maps for a wipe run.

@RealDivision just try to out think players. Having 6 mates who are pure chaos makes it much funner. Thought about showing them the Goat simulator, but I fear they'd never come back to DayZ. I'm a bit older than most gamers and suffer from major nerve damage in both arms from broken, then poorly fused neck while in Navy. So if I can't outtwitch or out shoot and spot targets, I surely can out think them. Notice patterns of movements, normal needs of stealth, driving forces like greed or gear fear, and plan accordingly 😉. Different game meta and I do my best to make it work.
