You don't want all your weight in the front of a kart. The weight is centered around you, while in your seat, and is slightly back of center. The distribution is roughly 45% to front and 55% to back. When we, and other drivers, had to add weight to make a class minimum, we would sit on added lead sheets.

Karts is mostly done. From gas to electrics I don’t need 150mph though😂 I’m tryna go at least 80-90. 80v 32AH with qs138 Motor is the only other thing I need to get a fab up. 👌

I love the videos and the stuff you guys are doing is awesome, I love the electric karts and hope to see more! I'm also curious, what camera do you use while your driving the karts that manages not to have wind noise? I'm impressed by the video quality all around!

Hey there,nice builds. I think the blue/purple gold kart could be an old skm chassis from around 2003. Looks pretty similar to my ongoing build right now but with qs138 v3 4000w. If you want to make sure send me some pictures of the front calipers. Greetings from Germany ✌🏼

Very good idea to build an electric go-kart, but unfortunately there are no kart tracks in Germany where you can drive an electric go-kart. Viele Grüße aus Deutschland.

@@monsterelectricgokart Also das was du gebaut hast ist ja auch einfach krank,aber sehr geil 😅 Ich wohne am Dreiländereck also ziemlich gut um zum Beispiel auch Strecken Holland oder Belgien anzufahren. Aber erstmal schön fertig bauen. Liebe Grüße

ich fahre auch nur in niederlande (Eindhoven), sehr schöne Strecke und keine mekkert das ich elektro fahre. Wenn du möchtest mit QS motoren bauen wilst ich empfehle dir nicht V3 weil du wirst genug Drehmoment ( spaß ) haben aber kein endgeschwindichkeit. Wenn ich lese bei Amerikanischer RU-vidr 120-150 mil. oder so was änliches mit dem kleinen motoren einfach lache ich weil das unmöglich diese endgeschwindichkeit mit 20kw motoren erreichen ist. Fallst du hilfe brauchst am bauen melde dich einfach helfe ich gerne.

@@monsterelectricgokart vielen Dank für die Informationen, ja das mit Eindhoven hört sich sehr gut an ist auch nicht so weit von mir. Jetzt hab ich aber schon den v3 im Chassis hängen,mal sehen wie zufrieden ich mit der Endgeschwindigkeit bin. Sonst muss ich halt nochmal neu bestellen. Wie kann man dich denn kontaktieren am besten?

I built one myself 96v QS138 90h 3Shul CL1000. Sadly, you will find out that it will only go 1-2 laps with a shifter before overheating. You will need to tune it down to the power of a LO206 4stroke to last a complete race (14-20laps).

@@jordantilford9301 3:1. I have a 42t rear with a 14t front using 428 pitch chain. Happy to answer any questions. I’m fairly knowledgeable in both competitive racing karts and EV hobby components.

Rapid overheating is normal as the Qs 138 motors are suitable for 72 volts. If you want more power for little money, get the QS 180, then you can compete against a shifter kart

@@monsterelectricgokart Let’s agree to disagree that overvolting a QS138 inherently causes over heating. It doesn’t work that way, current(amps) is what matters and most notably field weakening current causes excessive heat. A QS180 is HEAVY. Competitive racing karts factor in weight and balance.

@@lukeanderson7266 I drive a self-built electric go-kart, my 2nd prototype (132V-750Ah-235 Nm torque at the peak motor shaft). For balance I installed the motor in the middle behind the seat. I have batteries on both sides, overheating on the control unit with 5kg. Solid aluminum heat sink loosened, that's how heavy I am now with the conversion (205 kg). Unfortunately I haven't found a solution yet due to the weight 😊 I'm not a racer, just an amateur, but I have enough power to beat any petrol racing kart, where I can't just keep up with unfortunately longer range.

How fast do you think you can go with this electric motor? 150 mil is a very high speed. The chassis will do it, I don't know if the tires can hold 150 mil speed.
