You guys had so much fun. Snowball fight in July, ha-ha. Thunderstorms in the mountains are something else. The sound echos and when I hiked and camped in the Adirondacks in NY when they were low the storm would hit the mountain and come back. Tons of fun. Happy Trails!
This day would be all I would need. I can’t imagine it getting any better than this day looked! So much fun and so happy for you! Stay safe and strong out there! ❤

I still am having a hard time understanding that you’re cold and walking through snow while I am melting down here in the Tampa Bay Area (Florida) yeah slightly jealous!! 😂

Birdbath ,eh ?? more like Polar Plunge .. .. i always pack food for at least one extra day ,, plans sometimes change ... as well as hunger .. .. Now that's hungry ,, grilling your socks ... Stay Safe ..
Hey @kelly hays hikes my husband & I always wonder why y’all walk through water in your shoes & socks rather than changing into lightweight camp sandals or water shoes
Looks like a blast a beautiful lake to camp at, rain storm after a snow fight. My wife and i are going to be in Yellowstone/Grand Teton area in 2 weeks. Might be crossing paths : )
I have a question? As an older woman who cant do huge miles. Do you do 25 miles a day because you have to on the CDT or do you enjoy doing big miles. I would love for you to talk about that
Wild edibles Kelly: There is a book on wild edibles were the man shares his experience with his family on the PCT I believe. They were about to give up, when they noticed a wild edible book and then applied what they learned, and I believe finished the trail. However, be absolutely sure of what you're eating. You could of add a couple of dandelions to that pot or tortilla etc.
@@kellyhays23 be safe out there I think if I were going through there I would have a gun in my backpack I wouldn't trust any spray. I'm sure I would get in trouble for it later but I would still be alive lol
Please don't pour boiling water into your food whilst holding the bag from underneath - scald in the wilderness is not good - it's never good, but worse away from medical facilities.
I was scalded while pouring hot coffee into a plastic canteen. My forest fire engine boss was next to me and immediately grabbed my hand and put it in cold water. The same engine boss, when I asked her what to do, on my first fire, when the top of a burning snag falls, pushed me aside as a burning chunk fell, and yelled “run!”
I worry about big cats and bears , will stalk you you guys won't know they're there till they're on top of you. It's a good idea when you all stop everyone should face a different direction so that you can see if something's coming also be loud on trail talk loudly
Enjoying your videos - ya'll are kicking butt. One recco if I may - please research how to do proper bear hangs. Ya'll are freaking me out with those "hangs".
Soo I have a girl question!! What do you do when you’re on your period? I have to do my little camping stays (no hiking just driving to a spot lol) around my cycle… I would need a shower and soap lol! And do y’all shower? Im genuinely curious!! Thank you!!
That moose was staring you down pretty good! He was like: "yo, you best keep stepping.. you're in my 'hood & I'll mess you up!" Also, if you run out of food and desperately need more, you can boil your shoes (filet-of-sole) and eat them if they're leather. Then, use the laces for dental floss. You're welcome.
