@@elliottmayer-yeager8087 instead of trying to catch 0.0000000...1% of trash from ocean . People's main priority should be to reduce trash creation and wastage . This is like taking one 1 kg trash while 1000's of tones of trash is being poured into oceans .
@@pixelpie5280 that sounds important too why can’t we do both? I totally agree. Let’s fix the creation part of it and get the stuff out of the oceans. It really does not look like it’s very very very very small amount. It is a huge amount of plastic in that ocean.
@@elliottmayer-yeager8087 this just an idea and does not really exist btw there are so many logistical problems with what this guy is saying . Like 1. Would the velocity of the propellent not decrease with accumulation? 2. How would it work with trash while taking care of fluid dynamic as it trash will take up the space the machine cleaned back in few minutes if not days . 3. How are they planning to use it in areas with not enough current . 4. How is he going to catch micro plastic and wastes which have not degraded but broken down into pieces . 5. Let's assume he overcomes all these are collects all the trash how do we deal with it ? Burn ? Throw back into ocean ? Into space ? 5. At any cost it will cost energy to clean at that level if we are going to use energy it's much better to just stop trowing trash into ocean and deal with the upcoming trash disposal first . There are problems with it as well but leave it
